Missouri youth season opens in the morning, so DTC Jr gets another crack at them. I am not sure what the birds are doing, didn't hear alot of gobbling this morning and seeing lots of single hens by themselves early in the morning. If I wasn't looking at a calendar I would swear it's the last week of April instead. Regular season doesn't start til April 16th so I am afraid it's gonna be a rough year.

Good luck to you and Jr. in the morn Dtc!
Gonna be interesting to see what this screwed up weather does to everybody's season.Typically our early season is way too early but this yr that may be too late. But it was almost in the 80's here last week and the snow is flying right now so who knows. Might be the yr the dekes and calls stay at home and just try to ambush em.

Went to see a dairy farmer today that knows the owners of both the props i've been checkin out to see what he thought about my chances of getting on them. One has someone already hunting it, so thats out and the other was owned by an old lady that just passed away a month or so ago and the kids are tryin to figure out what to do with the place, so i'm figurin thats prob a long shot too. If my mom had just died the last thing i'd want to worry about is somebody screwin around on her property so might have to just let that one go.
Good news tho, farmer told me just yesterday he had what sounds like a bachlor group of about 6 or so toms hangin out in his feild. I can hunt that one, and its almost right across the road from the other farm where i seen the 2 strutters yesterday. Not sure if its the same group or not but definately a good number of toms in that area. By Sunday the snow and rain should clear off and i'm gonna get a couple cams out. Hopefully they'll show me good news.
