WoW, those are all some dandies.

Alot of the native americans around here are bringing some huge whitetails and mulies into town.(they get to rifle hunt a month before non-tribal people do). As for bowhunting in my area, it has really slowed down. I get to take off work 2 hours early tomarrow and will head out for an evening hunt so we will see what happens. As for trail cam pics, the nice bucks i had on trail cam have all changed night patterns so who knows where they are at. I have not had any other hunting pressure around yet so i think they are still there.

So Ive got a question for my teammates, any of you use illuminated nocks?
This season Ive purchased a half dozen new Easton Excels & a half dozen Rage Slip Cam broadheads, & Im wanting to purchases 2 or 3 lighted nocks to add to these bad M.F.ers.
Ive been reading reviews galore on lighted nocks & am leaning towards ArcherFlame after reading hundreds of reviews, but Im not fully sold on any brand thusfar. Any thoughts or reviews on the subject would be helpful & appreciated. Thanks.

My dad uses them, he uses the lumenocks, he likes them. I always joke around with him having like 35$ invested in one arrow between, arrow, broadhead, and nocks lol and he misses most of the time anyway.

I used the lumenoks years ago when they first came out and if they actually lit up when you shot they were awesome but they still had some bugs to work out, I'm sure they are good to go now though.

Yea, Ive read alot of mixed reviews on Luminock. They seem to still be working out the bugs all these years later. Im not impressed, & if Im not impressed Im definitely not going to spend the $$$.

Anyways Jared, hows momma doing? She should be about ready to deliver the baby soon shouldn't she? You two all ready for the little one to arrive?

well guys, i stuck a dandy About 5 minutes before sundown. I hit him at about 25 yards low in the shoulder, The arrow went all the way through and had alot of fat on it with a little blood on the fletch. I waited about fifteen minutes and took up the trail for about an hour with a flashlight. It has good constant blood, i followed for about 250 yards and am going to go back at dawn and pick it back up. Do you guys think i will find him?

Mottz 10-11-2012 06:47 PM

I hope you do sd! I wanna see him!

sdhunter11 10-11-2012 07:01 PM

Im just worried about all the fat on the arrow, but with decent blood for that distance, i dont know, im worried to say the least.

Congrats bud!!! Youll find em. A complete pass thru is gonna bleed em out, though with it being forward it may take a little while. Give em some time to expire & go back & put your tag on him. Again, congrats man, Im psyched for ya Marty.

Is this a new buck or you got pics of him? What do you mean by dandy, 140-150 or is he even bigger?
