Hey guy its watkins here.Theres notmuc action going on in the mornings so I did some mid day hunting and thats was the sweetspot.At 11:30 he struck up to some cutting and yelping.20 mints later it was all over but the heart pounding first bird I ever had that came in struting and gobbleing less than 30 yards will get pic on tonight I hope about got it figured out.19pnds,8 and half inch beard and 1 inch spures!!!I was hott but well worth it.

Good luck DTC. Hope everyone out there can get a bird and pick up my slack. I can't seem to catch a break. I just cannot get them to come in.

Opening morning was good. Took about 25 minutes to call in this tom. He weighed 20 lbs, has a 10 1/2" beard, and 3/4" spurs. Gotta wait until next Monday to hunt again.

great birds fellas! way to go. im heading out this weekend to the property on friday so im hoping i will have some luck. ive been waiting awhile to get back out in the woods

From TN season started in April, but wife went into hospital. Just got her home. She went in March 23rd. Been out last 3 days birds are quite.
