sounds exciting Tsaxy!
maybe the coyotes will get him.
Went out this AM on the roosted tom... he came in.. but stayed out about 60 yards behind some pines... i could see him, but too far and thick... i worked him for an hour or so before he knew something wasn't right... oh well... i'll try again tomorrow.

Got the stats on my bird

3/4" and 1/2" spurs
9" beard
20 lbs.

If you need another picture or anything shoot me a PM
Your score is 20 + 5 + 7.5 + 18 = 50.5

Well, tomorrow's the opener in CT and I'm sitting in a hotel in VA. I won't get a chance to hunt until the weekend. Maybe not until Sunday, which knocks CT out. I'll have to hunt RI. My hunting buddy is here too, and he got word earlier today that he has to travel all next week. Thats half his season gone. I put in for some vacation next week, so I'll probably hit CT on Monday. Congrats to all who have scored so far and keep at it for those that haven't!

You will RI... must be torture.
Well, I scored this AM, but only on a jake... wasn't even hunting... had my gear in the car... saw them down my fathers, so i threw my rain gear on and old boots & hat a my fathers and ran about 100 yards behind the house... made 1 call, and here they came in about 2 minutes it was over... raining, snowing, half sleet.. nasty day..
figured i'd get dinner on the table anyway... didn't have a camera.. will get pics later... 20 points for the team anyway... he looks like a wet chicken.
Now I'll only shoot toms... MA, NY, & CT tags... 7 tags left...

terrible pic...

Set up yesterday on 40 acres I hunt and the gobblers started going off like crazy I wound up having 6 different gobbling in 6 different directions...some closer some off property. Anyway they all went 6 different directions....none toward me
I have 2 or 3 in my area and know where they roosted yesterday. We have 35-40 gusts of wind forecast for today with strong storms tonight. No weekend hunting for me....getting ready for the big house move. May have 1 more hunting day after today to close the deal.....I am not sure I could walk into the local grocery story and score a butterball right now LOL!
