Im here.

We all probaly better introduce our selves and say a little about us.

Im Andrew Pope. Im 15 years old. Im known by, andrew, andy, pope, popey, and poper. This is my fourth year turkey hunting and I only use a bow. My goal is to get my first turkey with a bow and on film so hopefully at the end of the season I will have some points for us along with a nice video to watch. Ive been shooting bows since I was 9 and been deer hunting with a bow since 10. I killed my first deer (along with two others) when I was 11. Ive never killed a turkey yet. Ive missed a couple.. but never connected.
I will be hunting in Iowa on my grandpa's farm and also next to a state lake/animal preserve type of thing and it is loaded with turkeys and deer.


Arjuna, weren't we on the same team last year? Team 15 I think? Or maybe it was the deer bow hunting contest.

hey guys i live in connecticut i will be hunting our dairy farm about 200 acres of corn and hay fields and woods. our season starts the last wednesday in april and goes thru the third week of May. hopin to take a couple weekdays off from work otherwise i'll hunt as many of the saturdays as i can.

Dan here. I live in Miami, Fl. I retired from the Miami Fire Dept. after 30 yrs. in 2001. I'm pretty heavily involved in the hunting industry working in the fall in Illinois guiding/tracking. I also make custom mouth calls during the spring. I've got some serious making up to do this spring. Due to family obligations I wasn't able to hunt as I normally do last year and I didn't kill a bird. I'm planning on a big spring this year and hope I can contribute. Hey Guys! I'm here.

Pope, we were on the same deer contest team....I didn't help this year.... sorry about that. We both had a rough start as I remember.

Turkey hunting is my real passion. Deer hunting is just an excuse to get into the woods before the real season starts! I will be going on Friday March 19th. Wish me luck! I hunt AL and FL. Glad to meet you guys.

Man, hope the activity picks up. It's been awful slow around here lately. I think we have about half the teams we had last yr. Our season starts Sat. I'm holding off until next Tue. or Wed. I just can't hack the opening day crowd.

Dan, I see you are a member of the United Blood Trackers. I just got a GWD and am training him. Man, I think I am having more fun training this dog to track than I did learning to shoot a bow. I am sure I could use some advice though. If you don't mind, I'd like to pick your brain some, if you want to talk about blood tracking.

buckmark is in the house, hunting Illinois on a lease in Jodavies county. My real name is Mark, been married for almost 24 years, with 2 daughters and a german shorthair pointer who a little over 2 years old. This will be my 4th year hunting turkeys.

Hey guys, sorry I'm late. I didnt think we'd get things started up this early. haha
Any ways.. Im here. Ill be hunting the grand state of Pennsylvania. I've been hunting since i was thirteen. I've killed 1 turkey in the 3 years i've been hunting them. Hopefully i blow the beak off one this year tho. Good to be on board!

You prolly thought that cuz i said i hunted turkeys for three years. I hunted 6 years total. I only recently got into turkey hunting 3 years ago. haha

And i like the name "spur collectors", Mark. i thought of that one too.

Yeah I agree spur collectors does have a nice tone to it.

We have over half of our team here so lets go ahead and vote for a name if thats all right with all of you.

Just say which one you like and ill tally them up. If you have any more too add to the list then ill add them and if you want to change your vote then I can do that too..

I'm good with Spur Collectors... Welcome everybody. I'm gonna post a few pics from a few years ago just to get us going. I'm gonna put the camera out tomorrow and get some new ones soon. Here is my son (right with his friend on last year's youth hunt.

Once again we have high hopes for the property we hunt, we saw large flocks on the ajoining property while deer hunting in the fall.

I actually get to start next wk. Opening day is this Sat. but I refuse to fight that crowd. The crowd will thin out by Monday and with a few days rest they might be gobbling again by Wed/Th. The water is incredibly high this year so I'm glad my buddy has a swamp buggy for the 10 mile trip in. I'd hate to have to ride my bike through 10 miles of 1-2 ft. of water. lol

your doing the right thing. Your clicking the button with the yellow square with the mountain right? Click that then put your url in there. Make sure your getting the direct link and not the html code or anything. To get multiple ones... just add one and then click the button again to add another.

If you can't figure it out then send me the photobucket link tot he album and ill post them up for you.

wis_rifle_hunter checking in. my name is brett bierman and im from the great state of wisconsin. im 15 years old been hunting ever since i could walk. got my first deer when i was 12, it was a doe. i have yet to kill a turkey, i've come pretty close but haven't sealed the deal. this year i'll be using a winchester 1300 12 gauge. i'll be taking my hoyt bow out with me to if i can get one in range of the stick and string. hopefully i can put one the board for us this year. i'm hopefully going to be videoing the hunt also.

Went to AL today and put out two cameras...went ahead and shot my gun to make sure my scope was still on....

Haha looks like that would have hurt a little Arjuna. Thats why im not a huge fan of scopes...

Arjuna- Ouch!!!!! I hope your gun was on. lol That's one of them deals where you shoot and no matter where it hits its "perfect". lol
