Went on a hunt in Georgia with a buddy of mine from work. Took this jake on the first day with hopes of getting a better bird before I had to return to Florida. We worked birds everyday for three days but could not connect. The jake went 16 lbs. with 1/2 inch spurs and a 4 1/2 in. beard for a score of 35. Not much to brag about oh well.

This is the bearded hen I took on the third week of my season. I took her in the same spot as I took my big gobbler. She is an Osceola that went 10 1/2 lb. with a 7 1/4 in. beard. This is the first bearded hen that I have ever seen. The score is 25

Got a definate yes on a new piece of property today!!! 120 acres of woods, mostly cedar with a few small food plots. Will be different for me hunting turks in this type of terrain but the owner has been seeing some nice toms the last few days. Coyote hunted it this past winter so im kinda familiar with the place. Gonna go check it out in the am as well as check the trail cam at one of my other spots where ive seen a really nice tom the past few days!!! Things are starting to look a whole lot better for me, cant wait!!! 11 days to go!!
