Nick, sorry to hear about the passing of your Uncle at a young age. I'm intrigued by his Turkey. Unusual color variation. Eastern? Hybrid?

It is a full blood eastern. Shot in Palo Alto county Iowa. It was even more impressive in the bright sun. It glowed red! According to him he shot it at 60 yards on the run, left handed. I still don't believe him! haha. The fan is now hanging on my wall, which I greatly appreciate...

Hey guys, It took me three hunts to get on the board with a nice gobbler but it finally happened this morning. I took a nice osceola off of some public land at about 8:30 Easter morning. He weighed in at 17 lbs. 15 ounces. He had a 10 inch beard with one spur going 1 1/4 in. and the other at 1 1/8 inches. I also took a bearded hen off that same land on Friday.( a first for me) I will have to record the score and post some pictures once I find out how to do it. LOL Good luck to the rest of the team. Thanks guys. I missed a nice gobbler on opening day and was real down about it. The gobbler was gobbling like crazy on the roost but took off in the other direction with his hens. About four hours later he came back to check me out and I shot over his head at about 30 yards??? The bird I killed was in the same area as my miss. I wondered if it was the same bird? I will e-mail one of you guys if I cant figure out the picture posting. Ray
