Looks like we have 3 still missing. I believe they got 3 days, and we get replacements? Man, 3 weeks till I hit the plane for Florida. I'm straining at the bit.

OHHHHH, to be somewhere warm like Fla!!!!!! Huntin turkeys no less!!! Once again.......yes......its snowin here! Supposed to be in the low to mid 30s for the next week or so......thats an improvement, i guess!! Been drivin around by my spots a bit the last few days and have seen nuthin! Think they must stay way back in the woods somewhere in the winter around here. At this rate its gonna be the beginning of April befor i do any serious scouting. I'd love to see some pics of all you boys's past kills!!, and a few positive scouting reports might help my late winter turkey blues also!!!

We were suppose to get a foot of snow earlier this week but somehow we ended up with an inch. And today it was it the 60's. So for turkey season being just 2 weeks away, this weather is definately wanted to stick around

They must have a lot of replacement hunters being we have new members, and still have 3 no shows? Being people are already hunting, you'd think we'd have had teams set by now??

I was under the impression if you were not checked in by the 10th you were out!!?? signman53 is my uncle, i recruited him :biggrin: He'll be checked in soon. Once casalesss5 is checked in at least we'll be close to a full team!! Think that's about as good as its gonna get!! But all that means is we all have to really tear em up!!! I know i'm ready and gonna be givin it all i got!!! :lolabove::lolabove:

We started an alternate thread for those who still want in the contest, but signed up late. We use them to replace no-shows or to build bigger teams. Although some have started hunting, there are other's who's season is still a month & 1/2 away... It's kind of screwballed... I think some people just don't understand that they have to "check in"...

What ticks me off is all the people who say they want to be on a team, and then no show when assigned to a contest. Then you'r scrambling to get teams together. I'm old school, commit to something and do it, or don't bother wasting everybodys time.

Low to mid 40s with a lot of rain all this week!!!!:barmy: Thats gonna do a number on the snow!!! If it keeps up like that i could have the trail cams out by next weekend and be startin some serious scouting. I am soooooo ready!!!!! I think our team is starting to finally come together and is lookin pretty good. Sorry, I havent been posting much since signing in. Im in depressed mode considering how wet it is out and I cant physically make it back to my turkey woods yet.

This is one of the few years I don't have to do much scouting. I know where I'm hunting in Florida, Iowa, and Kansas. I'll scout the day before in Florida and Kansas to pinpoint exactly where I'm setting up the day before my hunt. I do have a couple of new spots I'm working on in Iowa, but have no time to scout them, if I do get them. If I feel it's a better spot than what I'm hunting, I'll have to go in cold.

Very seldom do I get out to scout. I did happen to drive by and seen a group of 4 redheads standing in the middle of a pasture and took off running towards a roosting area. So I know where I'll be setting up the 2nd week of the season. Next Saturday I'll head to a spot with a bunch of guys thats over an hour away so there is no scouting that place. Usually loaded with birds though.

Sounds like a good set up to me Mottz!! We will be lookin for first blood next Saturday!!!!
