What part of Kansas? I hunt here in Missouri and have made the trek over to Kansas a few times.

So who wants to be the First Mate?
Someone to step in just in case something happens, and I am not here.
Like a computer crash, or anything that would keep me away.

Thank You.

I am from ks and have been looking into going somewhere else to get another hunt in. I have come to realize that the cheapest place to hunt for a nonresident is KS, WTF. It seems that KS hasn't figured out that the amount of revenue that can be generated through non resident hunting. I have found that to be the same for Deer hunting also. If I am incorrect please correct me so I can come hunt in your state.

I will say this, your state is cheaper to hunt turkeys in but that is it. Your deer hunting is at the top of the food chain with the price it takes to harvest 1 whitetail. Iowa and Illinois is higher by a small amount and then Kansas.

Great news! I have a "guide" out there. He has a small bow shop in El Dorado and is helping put us on birds.

DTO if we can we aught to meet up for coffee or something when I get out there if it can work out.

firelt72,
You are First Mate, second in command.
In case I'm not here for some reason.

Thank You.

20+11.25+10+18=59.25

I'll have JR post his story later and I will get it on the scoring thread. I spoke to my neighbor who you see in the pic and who he went out with, it was an exciting morning surrounded by birds and this guy was Horney as all get out. From what I understand, he had to shoot him in full strut.

My hunt was slow with my son's friend. We moved at 7:30( not very far) and got on some birds. Unfortunately, when we finally did see a Tom, he was 80 yards. We got to watch him for a long time though. Next weekend we'll be at it again.
