Well, team, I thought I was going to score this morning...then along came a bobcat! Had him at just under 70 yards and coming to me, and from out of nowhere he runs off with a bobcat right behind him. Luckily, the bird got in the air and away. I tried to call the cat in for the kill, but was unable. Did get close to a few roosted birds, though, so hopefully they will be there in the morning also.

Thats sucks that you got now bird, but then seeing a bobcat is quite a rush, especially having one come in to a call like that!!

Got busted tonight he was only 15 yards away when I saw him and I took a shot off handed but missed dam thats why they call it huntin and not shoppin! lol
Going out first thing to try again tomorrow up at 3am
I have been out twice rain all week but I saw birds and called them in it has got to happen sooner or later

I bettered my bird this morning. My Pa opener was 19 lbs, both spurs 1 1/8 and 10 1/2 inch beard.

Ive never had that one I will have to see if we get it today I am partaking in the Heineken my favorite!

Hey congrats treebeard and bull nice looking birds. Had a chance to kill my second one for the year but my gun snapped. I let my brother use it and the bird he killed he didn't put a live round in the chanber. All well gives me a reason to go back. Congrats guys and gals on some fine birds. Jeff

Everything was going as planned this morning. I had the bird i want at 5 yards and I was at full draw. He wnet behind my blind saw something he didnt like and was gone! Oh well maybe tomorrow ill have better luck. And i might just take the gun instead! lol

Just got back from the woods. I got him roosted. I have a good feeling about tomorrow morning. Well at least Im sure ill see him.

I have 3 days left in the Mo season, I'm taking off work tomorrow and hopefully can whack one out. I have a lonesome gobbler right behind my house. Going to bust his butt in the morning.

Sure hope you get him, TH! I will be going all day Saturday and as much as I can next week. I will be going to Alabama a good bit next week, though, helping with disaster relief. Keep all those folks in your prayers. So many have lost so much. I find myself thinking I have it hard sometimes...I am ridiculously blessed.

Have had three good nights in a row full out missed a tom tonight hope I was just off and my gun is fine.

I am still hunting I have been picky lately I had the biggest Tom of my short career coming in and and a dam Coyote wrecked my hunt. I have had him close twice since if I get him we all win but I will still take a poke a a smaller one if I have to. I have one more hunt on that property then I will shoot anything.

I just killed my best bird ever! Its my last tag I had for the season. I will post pics later. It was 22lbs 11 1/8 beard 1 3/8 spurs.

Well team I just finished the worst season ever. Everything that could go wrong did. I had to deal with 50 mph winds that made my decoys fly like they had real wings. Then there was a coyote that came in 5 times. I tried to get him with my pistol but 75 yards was just to much to ask out of a 45 auto. Then there was the people out for a ride on there ATV's every weekend like clockwork. Oh ya and the guy that thought that a rifle was the gun to use for turkeys. What a deal.
