Hope you get a second chance. I had a 140" 8pt step out at 40 yards and just couldn't get a shot. I can't stand hunting out of a ground blind but my wife went with me for the first time.

Glad to see you got a pick of the buck on your cam. I tend to be a pessimist and think they all are doomed to a horrible death. Luckily it has only happened to me a few times in over 25 years of archery hunting (started young). I haven’t been out lately, and our early muzzleloader season starts on Thursday. I’ll be taken out the smoke poll on Thursday and Saturday, probably try to get one of those little sika deer I mentioned in an earlier post. Good luck everyone, the best part of the season is right around the corner!

Congrats, I'm glad we're on the board. I'm still hunting, just haven't had another shot. I'm still after one of the three 10 points I've had on the camera.

Congrats kellyguinn on the buck. I made it out this morning and called in a couple of small ones and a few does came by. Then right as I pulled out of the parking area a doe runs full bore up a stip of corn with her tail tucked. I looked in my rearview mirror and another deer is crossing the dirt road right where I pulled out. Sure enough 30 seconds later a nice buck comes out looking for the doe's trail and gets within 100 yards of my truck. then a second one comes out and he is noticably bigger. They end up finding her trail and taking of for god knows where. The area they were headed was huge and I needed to get to work, so I didn't try to go afer them. The rut is defently started here. Now I can't wait to get back out there.

Here is the 6 pt. I also shot a 9 pt the next evening with the smoke pole at 189 yards. Both on public. I'll try to them scored in the next few days.
