Been hunting hard. My body is feeling the effects of it too)))). Stinks getting old, takes longer to recover. Anyways, seeing some doe's and smaller bucks but no shooters yet. Just a reminder guys make sure you do a safety check on your gear every once in awhile. I almost dumped my bow from 20 feet lastnight, while pulling my bow up I got it about 5 feet from me and noticed the hook lock had broke off.

I got the bow up but boy that would have stunk if it fell from that height.

Sunday after the Packer game I moved my camera to a scrape with a licking branch and rub. I checked it tonite and I am quite amazed. I never thought so many bucks would come in, in such a short time. I did juice up the scrape and rub with some new scent I am trying. I think it is helping to attract them.

Looking forward to hunting with my daughter this weekend on her very first youth hunt. I just wish it was not so darn warm. Hopefully we can see something on the morning hunt because I have a bad feeling the deer are going to move late in the evening.

Still hunting. Have not had a shooter in range except a nice mid 140 class, 37 yards but no shot offered through the brush. Be safe folks, will check in later.

12 hr days when the weather is decent is getting me down
With the lack of hunting time

So I shot a eater doe tonight at last light

When I have gotten out
I have been seeing deer
But mainly 2 year olds , like the basket 8 point that feed past me tonight

Starting to consider sticking one of them ......not yeat
As there is a nice 8 point and a biger 10 point in the area

well i shot this doe saturday morning.not much of a story i was only in the stand about 25 minutes.she came in from behind walking down a path i reached for my bow she stepped in the 20 yard window i bleated to stop her.the rest was history she went 30 yards and dropped!!!.this was the first deer shot at camp with a bow so that was pretty cool.my buddies son shot his first deer ever sat.night that was awsome.then he shot one sunday morning. great weekend at camp.
