Nice bucks Ed, good luck with them!

I have a good crop of apples coming along, and will have deer feeding in the orchard through Dec. The 40 trees (6 varieties) are loaded this year:

Here are a few orchard pics from the past:

Got my new Diamond Marquis set up yesterday and took it home to get it tuned. Within an hour I had the shafts touching at 10 yds from treestand height. If we don't get rain tonight I'll check it at 20 & 30 and then test with broadheads. With 2 weeks to go until the season starts, looks like I'll have plenty of shooting time to take it into the woods this year.

So.... did you get to shoot it at 20 & 30? Just wondering how it went.

I had to make a small adjustment (mostly because of these aging eyes) and all was good out to 30. Got the broadheads out and they were on as well!

Sounds good. I'm still struggling with which broadhead to use this year. I've been using 1 3/4" Grim Reapers for three years but I haven't been happy with the blood trails. I bought two packages of Slick Trick Magnums and while they fly perfectly for me out to 40 yards, they just look so puny beside those big Grim Reapers. I'm actually having trouble deciding what to do.

I had the same doubts with the Blackouts ( look ike G5 Strikers) I bought for last year. The blood trail was pretty similar to what I was getting from my old Muzzys. Trails weren't very long either, about 40 yds each.

LC - nothing wrong with the slicks - I've used the magnums for years to good success.
