Took my buddies boy out saturday for youth season and got him a nice Jake. Went out today opening day here in Ohio and took a friend that had never shot a turkey. Had six jakes come in about an hour after first light so I told him to blast one when they got to the decoys. Think the shot was at about 8 to 9 yards (bird TOAST). Picked up another friend after that and went to another farm. Saw 3 differnt longbeards but the rain keep pushing them back in the woods and out of our field set. Oh well good to see them there hopefully put an arrow in one tomorrow of the rain will hold off long enough. Waiting on longbeards for points not gonna shoot any jakes (I think). Well good luck team.

Cool Pin, I took a boy out last weekend and he too shot his first bird.A nice 2yr old with a 10 and 1/4 inch beard. What a blast!

I'm takin a land owner out tomorrow for our NY opener then the next morning I'm flyingoff to MD for some swamp turkeys. I'll keep you all posted.

Good luck teamies!

Took my first bird of the season with the berg on 5-5, after missing twice opening week. I will be going back out with the bow from here on out.
