Thanks - that side was the exit, blew right thru and stuck 3" in the dirt. Had to have been the easiest blood trail I've ever followed. It was unbelieveably bright.

I forgot this in the story post, but I heard him hit trees hard 3-4 times on his death run. While tracking he had to jump over 2 fallen logs, bounced off a small tree, and when we got to him he was laying on the opposite side of the tree and had thrown his head back and the rack was stuck around the tree. We did a double take because he was positioned like he was still alive.

That's it...wallhanger convinced me to play hookie from work today and hit the woods. Thanks Wall!!! I'm heading out for the day. It will be the last chance I get.

Oh..btw...congrats on the buck!

well on the public land that i was hunting this year my buddy just shot a 150" buck two days ago. i will try to get pics of the buck to show you it is pretty impressive. so i will now almost completely shift my focus to the private land i just got permission to hunt.

i have also worked it out to where i can hunt saturday night so i will be hitting the woods early to do some power scouting and put my stand up. wish me luck.. i am going to need it.
