19 days... I'm just saying....

I hung two new stands today...where both of the deer pics I have shared were. The landowner is so cool to work with. I hope everybody else has as much fun as I have had.

Well guys... broke my thumb in football. Had to sit out the last two quarters which really pissed me off. Hunting wise I should be fine because I use muzzeloader for youth hunting and I wont have a problem hunting and hopefully by bow season my thumb will be fine. My grandparents are up for the weekend from Arkansas so hopefully I can get out in the evenings. Oh btw, we did win the freshman game 48-13 which makes us 4-0. I just left the varsity game in the 3rd period because it was really boring and I was getting a little chilly. 67-7 when I left and we were winning. This was homecoming so it really sucks that I didn't get to play the end but oh well atleast now I have an excuse to get out of typing class in school.

Default What a evening.

Went out to do some scouting with the wife this evening, we stopped to get so icecream before we left town. Saw a really nice 8pt. that will go 145-150". A pretty good buck for the wife to go after during the early muzzleloader season. We left the area and was about 3 miles down the road when my wife said to pull over so she could throw-up, I guess the icecream was not setting so good on her tummy! Got that little chore taken care of and started down the road for home and a big old doe decided to kiss the bumper of my work truck with her butt. No damage to the truck that I can see and the doe was not anywhere to be found. I would bet she will be ok, she might have a sore hip for a few weeks.
I sure am glad to be home.

Pope, You take care of that thumb. And enjoy your visit with your grandparents. Good luck with the rest of the youth season.
