haven't been out on the Doe hunt anymore-Helping Daughter with 3 G-kids. We do that since we're both retired now & little 9 month old was very sick. Our regular season is Oct. 1st. I've only had 7 does on my 1st ever trail cam in 53 years of Bowhunting.
Good Luck everyone.

Hi guys
I had a 3 day weekend sooooo I went hunting. Saturday, saw 9 deer. One large doe with a fawn....could still see some spots. Not shooting moms with babys!!! It's a girl thing.
I had four that were within 12 to 15 yards at one time or another. Too hot to mess with a doe this time of year.

Sunday saw 8 deer. Had three bucks come out of the woods under my stand going into a clover/turnip plot. Had all three in range, 15 to 25 yards and the Hoyt was jumpin to go BUT in Scotland county, 4 point rule and unfortunately all three of these were little guys.....I was ready for the last one out of the woods to be a shooter. Maybe next time.

We have some huge white tail in North East Missouri. (the farm is three miles from Iowa and about 30-40 miles from Illinois) The neighbors were happy to tell me about a 190-200 incher running around on the south end of our farm! A 150-160 is running around on the north end.

This morning I didn't go out due to fog being so thick and we left around noon to come back to the city. I'll be back up there Oct.2nd for the weekend. Should be a little cooler by then.....certainly hope so.
Good luck to all.
Hunt safe.
Diann

Like the name, the avatar makes me laugh. It's good for me unless someone on the team is crafting one up....

I wasnt going to go out the first weekend since its usually feeling like South Florida in the summer time here in Indiana, but its looking like the temps will stay down this year, so Im considering getting out there next weekend and see what I can do for the team.

I have to work this weekend....we are on a every other weekend rotation.....and with weather being so cool, I am having a bit of a hard time being patient until next weekend when we go back to the farm. I can hear acorns dropping from here!!!
I'm going to go sell some guns!
Good luck to everyone that's hunting this week end.
D.
