Heck ya some t shrits would be cool. I dont know if it would be possible, but it would be kinda neat to get the HNI logo on there some where and put 09-10 bowhunting contest champions with our logo or something like that. But then again that might start getting expensive lol. And pj, what bow are you thinkin about getting?

reds10ss 02-17-2010 06:06 PM

hell yea im down for the shirts

pjhunts 02-20-2010 09:23 AM

not sure yet about the bow, i've shot bowtechs for the last 7 yrs, so i will probably look at them first. bad part is tho only place close that carries them went out of business last fall. I shot some mathews and the pse's a few months ago. wasn't overwhelmed by any of them. I hate the way the mathews are so top heavy, and the pse's are to stiff on the draw for me. I shot a buddy's hoyt catera a few times last year and it felt pretty good, so i may check into them. first on the list will definitely be the destroyer. I don't know how much longer i can wait before i start shooting them, i'd really like to have it by turkey season. not a whole lot of challenge in shooting a turkey with a shotgun

MOhunter46 02-20-2010 09:44 AM

Well if your liked the katera you'll like the maxxis, its a sweet shooter. As for the destroyer, maybe you'll like it more than i did but it wasent my cup of tea. And ive been a huge fan of bowtech but the d340 felt like a tuning fork in my hand. As for me, my money will be on a mathews z7. All black, cant wait to get it.

dliz 02-20-2010 04:54 PM

PJ,

Good luck on your new bow hunt. I shot a mathews for several years and last year switch to a Ross Cardiac. Not sure if I like the Ross better but the price was right. Shots a little faster and flatter. Couldn't see spending $900 on a new Mathews. My Ross is also top heavy but it shoots nice.

By the way I'm working on the logo for our shirts. When I get an example I'll attach for opinions. Then we can get a price. It will have to be digitized from JPG to DST, this cost about $40.

Dave

my7pointmonster 02-20-2010 08:36 PM

How much will it work out as per shirt dave? I'm pretty excited to see it, when I made the logo I just googled european skull or something till I found that one.

Ryan,

Not sure how much the shirts will cost. Once we get a design down I'll get an estimate. I know embroidery is not cheap but hopefully it will be low enough we'll all want one. I have attached two examples let me know which one you like. I can change it easly so if you have suggestions let me know.

Dave

my7pointmonster 02-21-2010 06:50 AM

How much would screen printing be? Just throwing out suggestions. And I can't see the pictures yet I gotta get to a computer and not my blackberry for better results

Ryan

my7pointmonster 02-21-2010 07:32 AM

I like both of them, and it doesn't matter to me what we get. I'm pumped.

Ryan.

MOhunter46 02-21-2010 12:40 PM

Hey Dave, if its not too much trouble, could you post those pics where i can see them please. Remember, my computer sucks and i cant see the pics. If you post them through photobucket or something that should work. If you cant its not big deal, whatever you guys decide on will work for me.

MOhunter46 02-21-2010 04:44 PM

Thanks for sending them to me Dave. It actually worked lol. And i like the 2nd one that you sent me the best, but thats just me.

Good year team. Look forward to getting together next season to defend.

Digitized Logo

1 Attachment(s)
Yo Team,

Just got the logo digitized for team shirts. It was converted from jpg to dst for use in embroidery. I think it came out very good. It is actually the sewn version. With it being converted to dst I can give everyone a copy of the converted dst file and you can get shirts made locally by yourself or we can order shirts together. I think we have 7 guys interested so far.

my7pointmonster 02-25-2010 03:06 PM

How much is it gonna cost, dave? Thats all I'm worried about.

P.s. Great job on it btw it looks awesome.
Ryan.

dliz 02-25-2010 03:25 PM

Ryan,

Now that it is digitized ($25, I'll take care of that) from what i gather, the cost for 10000 stiches is about $4 - $5 dollars per shirt, then the cost of the shirt and the shipping cost to get it to you. Now that its digitized you can also take the digitized file (dst) to a local embroidery shop and get a shirt made. Shirts made as a group may be cheaper but all the shirts will be of the same style.

Dave

reds10ss 02-25-2010 08:55 PM

looks and sounds like a good deal to me, id be proud to where it...nice job dave

rybohunter 02-26-2010 03:15 PM

That little logo thing looks pretty sweet. Great job.

dliz 02-28-2010 10:15 AM

Yo Team,

Looks like we can get shirts made for around 20 dollars per shirt shipped. That price should include shipping to your house. It would be a closeout white or green polo shirt. The logo looks really nice on the white shirt. I would need the size of every one who is interested. They say they are sized big. If you would like two shirts let me know we could get a green and a white.

This is the shirt that is on clearance. It is the Tri-Mountain polo shirt and hey have a size chart. The price above is for ordering 12 shirts.

Dave

my7pointmonster 02-28-2010 03:24 PM

Its safe to say that I'm lost, If you want me to just send you some money for whatever the team decides then that's fine by me buddy I'm looking forward to getting a shirt made up.

Let me know whats going on sorry I'm just confused. and Thanks a lot for doing all the leg work on this Dave!!

Ryan.

pjhunts 02-28-2010 04:24 PM

hey guys, did some hard core shed hunting this weekend. Found a match set 10 pter yesterday here sat home. today, my buddy and i went to the public ground at the lake and found 2. One was on the ice(it's mate was beside it, but something drug it off) real nice 4 pt side prob. in the 140 range. and my buddy found a REALLY NICE side, it had 7 pts on it. If other side was similar it would go in the 160's

my7pointmonster 02-28-2010 04:32 PM

wow you got any pictures PJ?

Ryan.

MOhunter46 02-28-2010 04:35 PM

Im with Ryan lol. If ya need me/us to send ya some money Dave, just let me/us know. I go no idea on what the dst file or the jpg file is so it would probably be better if you just send me a shirt. Great finds there pj, hopefully you can see those bucks next season.

dliz 02-28-2010 05:17 PM

PJ,

That sounds like a great shed find. I have never really went shed hunting but I may try and get out. Right now we have about 2 feet of snow on the ground. By the way are you interested in a shirt.

Ryan,

I've deleted the little write-up on the dst jpg file stuff. Did not mean to confuse anyone.

Just need shirt sizes and I'll get an order together.

Dave

my7pointmonster 02-28-2010 07:08 PM

mark me down for a size large shirt, let me know an address to send a money order to.

Ryan,

Thanks again Dave you're doing a hell of a job.

Clay, I'm in the same boat as you, im a tweener also, does that mean we should get a medium if they run large? cause if thats the case I guess I'd need a medium

Ryan.

pjhunts 03-01-2010 05:04 PM

hey dave, how much would the jpg file thing cost? im pretty much a t-shirt knid of guy, but if it is easier for you to go the other route that's ok with me too

dliz 03-02-2010 01:11 AM

PJ,

Looks like I can get a t-shirt made for about the same cost probably or a little cheaper. Should be less than $17 shipped to your house. If you want one, just need your size and color. It would be a little easier to order all polo shirt since I'm ordering 12 to get a cheaper price.

Dave

KCMO Cityboy 03-02-2010 10:46 AM

Ryan, I think you got it right. I wear a lot of XL's, but if they run large I'll go with the large.
I'm headed to the Missouri Deer Classic this weekend with a friend of mine. Just another way to extend the season a little. Also designing a hunting blind that I'll build with another friend next month. Will be great to take the kids to during the firearms season, also designed it with the archer in mind too! I think my biggest excitement is planning a trip with my brother (lives in Texas) for an archery elk hunt during the last week of September in Colorado. That trip has me pumped!!!

That sounds awesome clay, what part of colorado are you heading to, we were planning on all of us going for 3 weeks but since I'm a broke college kid now, I guess that won't be happening.

Ryan.

KCMO Cityboy 03-02-2010 07:25 PM

Ryan, I'll be just south of Gunnison. Hopefully I'll have a map of the area soon so that I can start studying the area.

I was actually thinkin about goin about goin up to the Classic but idk yet, it would be a hell of a drive for me. The elk hunt sounds awsome, deffinately something im gonna have to do one day, gotta get a better job first tho lol.

KCMO Cityboy 03-03-2010 08:33 AM

Let me know if you go to the classic Wayne. It would be really nice to meet you in person. I'll be there Saturday morning until my group of guys are ready to go.
These elk trips are expensive. We are going without a guide, which might be a mistake, but I'm not the most competitive person, so if I come home empty handed I won't be too upset and my wife will be glad that I don't have a mount to hang above the mantle!

MOhunter46 03-05-2010 07:03 AM

What time are you getting there Clay? I think we are gonna try to get there around 10am tomorrow. Let me know if you want to meet up somewhere or something, it would be a pleasure to meet you it person.

dliz 03-07-2010 01:03 AM

Yo Team,

I'm going to order the shirts tomorrow or the next day. If you have any changes please let me know. Im ordering 12 shirts so we will have a couple of extra shirts. This is what I have so far.
