Default TWACK..... THUD...again

SO..... I went out and sat in the stand where I saw the big 10 point before I went away for Xmas. Right at the witching hour, here comes this yahoo walking through the bottom where I expect the deer to come from. The guy hates us hunting and takes every opportunity to screw up our hunts when he sees us. The guy must have just driven down the road and saw my Explorer because I nosed it right up into some honeysuckle so he couldn't see it from his house. But here he comes. He's looking for me just like he did the last time I hunted there... but he can't find me. The idiot. We had 4 inches of new snow and I was in my snowflage hidden well. Will turned him in for harassing us so he knew better than to cross the line this time. He gave me all kinds of flack the day I hung the stand. Anyway, he walks past out of sight. He probably gets 300 yards from me and runs head on into a herd of does. They break out in the field and head across the road. One turns and comes all the way to my corner. She's nursing a gimp leg but appears to be OK otherwise. I drew when she was 70 yards out, started bleating at her with my voice at 35 yards. She slammed on the breaks at 15 yards and turned broadside for me. TWACK. She lit out through the thicket but the further she went the shorter her legs got. She run right into the ground. A classic double lunger. She still made it about 90-100 yards. To dark to access the injury to her right front leg. She's not carrying the weight she should but the shoulder doesn't appear infected. I'll see in the daylight. She's hanging in a tree in the back yard to make the yard feeders nervous. I really should have caught up to the anti and thanked him for chasing bambi to me.
