Well guys and gal, my wife's test results are back and she does have cancer. Surgery is scheduled for Wednesday. The prognosis is good. Thedoc thinks the tumor will be completely removed and one round of chemo should take care of things.
Carie insists that I hunt this season and she is adamant that we make our trip to NM. I'm still in, however that is subject to change at a moments notice. Is that OK with you guys? I don't want to hurt your chances and if you want to get an alternate I'm cool with that. Let me know.

Like PaBowhunter29 and bloodcreek said ... some things are more important than a contest, I'm glad to hear that the prognosis is good and I'll keep praying for the both of you.

Hey team I just checked the drawing results on my states DNR site and I got my second choice which is May 12th through the 31st , that gives me three weeks to bowhunt for turkeys .....

today was a great day, i took the dog out and when i was coming back to my house i see black/red. it was a huge long beard! it flow across the delware river from NJ to Pa. i let the dog in, and ran around back and saw 5 more long beards with it. i had camo on ( i was shed hunting ) so i sat down next to a tree and they walk by at 15 yrds! i had no face mask or gloves on either.the smallest beard was about 6in. and the longest was about 10ins. wow! it was great is it arpil 26 yet?

RD congrats on the draw, as Pa said a full strutter is a good choice. My season ends around May 5th, so my experience with birds that late is nill. Im sure you will find the key just be persistent, im predicting late morning activity.
Pa::::that was a hell of an experience, glad you enjoyed
