I went out to IL in 2004 mid October... movement was slow. Very warm. Would love to go back out that way sometime... Hunting is pathetic up here... if you shoot a buck... spike, etc... here, you are doing something right!

Went out tonight... saw nothing... Saw about 12 in field across street.. POSTED... antis...

Hope you get to see him, and the icing on the cake would be having him come in about 20 yards out......

deer were still running this last weekend, i set up in a bedding area and the deer were not exactly going nuts, but the bucks were pushing the does around.......

Great buck Wiaxle! Love the height and mass he has. That does look a lot like the one you had on camera earlier. Congrats again

Ya, the picture aint the best, but I am 99% sure this is the buck, after watching the video I saw that it has two tines out in the G4 area, one normal, and one that is on the inside of the beam, on the buck I shot it has two indents on its beam where something broke off, along with a few other anomalies that you can see on the video that the horns have (bladed beam, unique tine formations) stuff that jumps out at you if you look long enough

Still getting a warm fuzzy feeling thinking back to almost a week ago........some folks at work look at me goofy when I tell them I shot it with a bow during muzzleloading season, they can't believe that I would have been alright with fact if this buck came by at 60 yards I wouldn't be upset that I couldn't harvest it, because I sat there with a bow in my hand.....I would be happy if he came by at 40 yards, and I couldn't get a shot, the whole season basically boiled down to all I wanted was to see this deer again one more time in the woods.

Your dreams came true WI... congrats again on a fine animal.
Any ideas on what you are going to do for a mount?

I am going to do a semi sneak upright w/ head slight up on my MZ buck...

Planning on an upright, ears kinda back, facing right (it will bookend my last bow buck)

I think, got a couple weeks to decide, shooting him so late in the season, I am at the back of the line at the taxi......
