not for sure why its not showing up. when the page is done loading right click on the pic icon or where the pic should be and there should be an option for "show picture".

Well, the first part of the archery season is over for me.

What started out with so much promise ended up producing alot of frustration. (coming off of 13 straight days of hunting during our so-called rut, saw maybe 5 bucks chasing does, lots of little bucks wandering but no big boys sighted)

Starting Saturday the orange army rolls out, for the next two weekends, then a couple weeks of muzzleloading followed by a 4 day hunt of anterless deer. So sometime in the middle of December I might be able to get back out with a bow.

Will be in touch with the neighbors and see what everyone gets to see if it is worth going back out in with the bow and the cold. The only plus side i could see is we have about 30 acres of corn that will not be cut till next spring, so we should be pulling in some new deer at this time.

Good luck to all of you still hunting, hope you see what you are looking for out there.

this year i decided to tough it out for the team and do something i have never done. i threw on my hunter orange and grabbed my.......bow. yes i have been spending the last week in the woods trying to outwit the orange army of rifle hunters surrounding me. And with no luck I might add.

Nothing but a couple of small (and i mean small) bucks that thouht they was the monster of the woods and came looking for a fight everytime i grunted. Luckily Tomorrow is rifle hunters last day til later in Dec for the antlerless weekend.

I'm still burning the midnight oil boys.

Guys... sorry i didn't score for the team, but I wanted to share with you the buck I took 11/21 in New York. My largest to date. He is Huge 7 point. He would have been an 8, but has a broken tine... He scored 139 as a 7... just a freak of a buck. I took him w/ my TC Omega.

Well guys i'm gonna have to try something different. the army of orange killed almost every deer that was traveling my propety. time to make some long trips i think.

Few more days then there is another 6 weeks of bowhunting coming up. Will see what is out after the gun season, won't be able to press it as hard as the 1st season (wife already told me that) but heres hoping that something interesting rolls into the property after the rut......

Great buck, Western MA, you gotta take them big ones with the weapon at hand.......
