Bow opens 2 weeks from yesterday here. Starting to get that feeling now... The moose hunt certainly helped to break it up.

Went out last nite (Tuesday) in street cloths and a pair of binocs 20 minutes before dark, stood on the edge of a clover field saw 6 2 year olds (assuming if the horns to the ears or past is a 2 year old) nothing really big, and 7-8 yearlings (talking bucks)

Saw 3 does try to come onto the field (think 300 yards long x 75 yards wide) all of them got ran off by bucks, otherwise it was alot of sparring and posturing.......weather finally cooled down and the wind is from the north

I hunted the opposite end of that field tonite, and had a crippled up (or gimpy?) buck come up on me, no shot, and saw a couple other 2 year olds, (100 yards off?) right at dark, they promptly went onto the field and starting sparring.

Hoping the weather stays cool, starting to get the bucks moving again.....

Just checking in with you guys. I will start hunting this weekend. Can't wait to get in the trees. Sounds like some of you are seeing quite a few deer. Nice Moose western. I heard the meat was really good. Good luck and be safe. Chris
