That's for sure. It'll help that I have to work til 11:30pm and have an hour drive home. Should be plenty tired by then.............no, I'm sure I still probably won't be able to shut the brain off due to the anticipation That's why there are afternoon naps, right ?
Best of luck to ya, hopefully by the time you are reading this you have had a successful hunt, wait, if you made it back in one piece it was a success, deer are just the frosting on the cake.......

i got out to do some scouting this afternoon, saw quite a few deer, mostly does, but I'm hoping to catch a good one on one of my cameras. Only 21 days and counting....

Saw two does this morning[:@] One would have refilled the freezer but she was out of my range (about 40 yds away )

But yea...at least season is here and I'm out and am seeing deer. In a tree at 5:15am..almost forgot how great of a feeling that is

Went out and mowed one of the clover fields tonite........took about 3 hours, didn't see any deer the whole time.....but did see some new rubs and there are some really good trails coming into the field.

Only filmed this field once this summer, but eye-balled it a couple of times after filming different fields and it always was pretty barren, will have to see what the wind looks like before I sit it.....

Pretty jealous of those of you getting out.

Went up the road about 40 minutes from me to glass a few soy bean fields the state has growing out that way. Saw a lot of deer. Saw some nice bucks too, one was probably about 130" 9-pointer then the other big one was a 110" 6 point with a really high rack. This area opens up saturday me and a buddy are hoping we can make it up there for the opener.
