Thanks for the heads up Camden.
Brett, Welcome to the team and congrats to you and your wife ! My daughter and grandkids came over yesterday and camped out last night. Had a big bon fire, made s'mores, shot their little Bear II bows at my deer target, shot off their model rockets, played in the sprinkler, etc....... Boy do they wear me out :D:):D Looks like you'll make a great addition to the team ! ![]() |

ORIGINAL: SDarcher Hey guys! sorry it took me so long to get back on here. My wife and I just had our first baby on the 18th, so my time has been pretty consumed with that. We had a little girl, named her Olivia. Glad to see you made it in, and awesome buck last year Preparation for the season continues here, every year I try one new thing, usually gimmicky (different grunt calls, deer view mirror, ya, i bought one, etc...) this year I am trying Sport wash, the UV killer cloths detergent, washed all my outer clothes today, then washed them in a scent free detergent, will do all the under clothes tomorrow. Yesterday, my father, wife, and I went to the local gun range to work with my wife on her shooting. She missed a buck last year during gun season, I think some of the problem was not enough familiarity with her rifle (had problems getting the scope centered on the deer) So we took her .243 to the range along with a .17cal that is the same size as her gun,(stock, barrel, scope relief) worked on getting down on the scope, squeezing the trigger and getting used to shooting a gun that does not abuse her body like the .243 does. Figured out she shoots very well when not worrying about the kick of the gun. Will have to go out a few more times this fall and work on it, but it is promising. |

my wife hates this time of year cause all my clothes and my "man cave" smell like dirt and leaves for the next 4 months. goin to check a food plot in the morning to see how its doin. buck activity is slowing down a bit but we have some cooler weather moving in so maybe it will pick back up.

Yup, man cave, some how my basement right now has a cinnamon/apple air freshener in it, that is going to have to go, once the clothes start coming out of the air tight totes....
