Hey Red, see that bright spot next to the tower in Rammer's pic? It could be part of the reason why you didn't see anything. I was out yesterday in a spot that is over a mile from the nearest parking area. I'm sure it receives next to zero pressure yet I saw nothing. It was 50 degrees by 6pm and still no sighting. As I was getting down, I could hear deer everywhere. They're just coming out later I think because of the full moon.

Red - Last year I was using scents by this time and having goodluck over them. I will be implementing scents my next time in the stand, which will more than likely be in the AM. Its finally cooling off here, going to be the second killing frost again tonite. The bucks are starting to get antsy here....

Hey guys, just checking in. I got my second Doe of the season yesterday morning, man them Rages do some major damage.I hit her in the left shoulder and it came out just behind the right one. She went about 50 yards.
I'm finally starting to see some buck movement also, I got to watch a 8 pointer make a scrape last night, pretty neat, I also got a couple of dandys on my trail camera I had on my food plot. Hope to get a crack at one of them guys in the near future.
Well good luck everyone.

I haven't hunted much in Oct (I like to save my best spots until closer to the rut) but I will be taking vacation in Nov so that I can bowhunt from Nov 1-7.

I think I will be out this weekend too but the weather here isn't looking very good (wind gusts 30-40 mph).

Anyone else goint to be taking some time off to hunt?
