No, skunks don't climb trees but if they start doing a little front footed dance & raise their tail, your in for a surprice-I know 1st hand...It will blind you & make you gag to high heaven. I had onespray at least 30 feet from me (not on me-at me) & thats what happened.
I had to drive home 4 hours from Ws. after cleaning up best I could.
My truck had that smell for a long time.
Will be hitting the Deer woods this next week-everything in place.

Hunted hard Fri and Sat, put two more does down, seen two small bucks but no shooters yet, been using my climber the majority of the time to try and thin a few of the does out - how'd everyone else do?

Congrats on the does Frank!

Pretty slow for me this weekend. Didn't see too much at all. Hopefully next weekend will be better.

I saw 5 small bucks Saturday morning at my dads farm. All were 80-110 inches, I watched them feed in a clover field for a few minutes and they ended up walking in to a CRP field. Sat evening I hunted my timber and had a spike mere feet from my ground blind LOL. I let him walk by. Ended up seeing 9 total, included a big 8pt that would score mid 140's. I'd never seen him before....I hope to see him again.

hoping to go again this afternoon, have a storm front heading in tonight around 10pm so the deer should be on their feet ahead of it. Located a cluster of scrapes and rubs, probably 12-15 scrapes and 1/2 dozen rubs in a small block of woods 200 yards by 200 yards surrounded by pine thickets. Should be some shooters moving through this area hope to see one tonight

went yesterday afternoon and sat through a rain storm for about an hour... the rain let up about 30 minutes before dark, as soon as the rain begin to ease off started seeing deer. Seen 3 does and a smallish buck could have taken another doe but was hoping the weather would have the bigguns movin

Here's the kicker there is a large beanfield at the gate of our property.. As I was locking up I noticed two does in the field, It is about a 1/4 of mile to the paved road topped a little hill and the whole frkn field was full of deer - there must have been 40-60 deer in the field and never seen horns but looked like a nursery ... too many does.. I think it is hurting the buck sightings

I saw a nice 10pt last night, he was near my "rut" stand. I'm trying to hold out on hunting that standwith an iffy wind. Seeing him there doesn't help my dilema LOL.

It's a good thing we don't allow does in the contest or Frank would have single handedly won the contest already!!
