Thanks Siman, I'll try, thats for sure, I am self employed, live maybe 15 minutes from many of my hunting locations, and come Sept. 22nd, i will be hunting nearly every evening, morning hunts on the weekends as well.

Heres a funny, last season, i was fixing to shoot a buck that came in to try and get my season over, i did not realize that upon my walk in, i had snagged a small twig in my bottomcam right where it meets the string, yep, you can guess what happened next. nice 8 pointer is standing broadside, i start to draw my bow, the next thing i hear is my bow make a funny noise, the string fell off the cam onto the axle. I was done.i sure never had that happen before and now i always check my bow once i get in.

Funny #2 from last season, I was sitting in my ladder stand minding my own business, had a nice buck i was going to shoot coming down the trail to me, i'm now standing up. bow in hand, preparing to draw back, about that time, a car wastes this Doe about 250 yards away on a county road, the impact noise was something else. The buck basicallyturned inside outand retreated from which he came, the light faded, hunt was over. I climbed down and went to the scene, cars all mashed up, deer hair all over, dead Doe in the ditch, antifreeze puddle on the road. They had a phone and had already called for help.

Funny #3, early Nov., the rut is firing up, i'm back in my ladder stand, i can hear the deer moving thru the cattails near the pond, sun sets, about that time, a hot Doe comes running up the bank with 4 bucks behind her, i pick out the biggest one, he's a shooter, mind you she's running a fast clip, the biggest buck is right behind her, i draw my bow and try to set the pin but man, their flat moving, i bawled to try and stop them but to no avail, they run below my stand 15yards out, nobody is stopping for anything, the smaller bucks kinda go different ways and the Doe is still on the run and makes a big 180 and is bringing him back to me, ive let the arrow down and am watching, here they come, this time they both squirt thru not 15' from the base of my stand, i bawled, i yelled, i cussed, everything except throw my binocs at them to get them or him to stop.they just keep up the same gallop and run right by me, right on out of the county.

so as you can see, just when i thought things couldnt get worse......................they most certainly can.

Jeez Brian, your 2007 season seemed to kind of flop just like mine did last year. I had some words with a guy about him letting his dogs out of their kennels while I was hunting. They messed up my hunt of many occasions on one particular property. This guy would only let the dogs out while I was hunting. Any other time, they stayed in the kennel. It all finally stoped after shotgun season when he nailed the big buck that I had been hunting! I talked to the conservation officer this summer and he told me to give him a call if it starts happening again this year.

Judging by the sheds that you have, looks like a promising year for you as well! Good luck!

I was going to go check my trail cam today, but I minorly sprained my ankle on Thursday playing softball. I have two games tonight, so I'm resting it a bit. I will probably go check it next weekend instead. Today is probably going to be a funday sunday out on the river!! Beer tastes too good!

I think we have a good list of names going, so lets make a list of what we have and start narrowing them down. Everybody can pick maybe their top 10 and then we can go from there. I will go through the posts and make a list.

And if I'm not mistaken, out team is made up of guys from the Midwest right? That is a major plus! Everyone knows that the midwest has the biggest bucks!!!

My season was like both of your guy's. I got busted by a big buck in one of my best spots and the most deer i saw were from the road [:@]. I harvested that doe but i was really ticked that i didnt get any good shots at bucks.

Maybe we should incorporate "Midwest" into our name somehow.
