RE: Official Team Shaft 'Em (25) Thread
Hey guys, i got out to my stand late again today. I had to cut a tree down cuz it was in my shooting lane and i ended up spooking what i believe was a doe. After that all i seen were woodchucks and squirrels. I think im going to start concentrating on some new areas, as the stands ive been hunting are the same ones ive been using for 3 years now.
For the year: 8 deer sightings on 6 hunts. 4 does 4 fawns 0 bucks 4of these deer were bumped on the way in or out. |

i have to work 9 - 5:30, it's 18 miles to where i work so we'll see if there's enough daylight left when i get home i may throw the camo on and head out for a bit. it's only a couple miles where i'll do my doe hunting so i should have some time. i'm off saturday - monday so i'll be out to my buck grounds (30 miles away) hard and heavy those days. don |

Yes today is the day! Did a scent free wash on my light gear last night. These last couple of mornings have had me fired up. I was thinking about going out this morning and coming into work after that, but I really don't feel like getting off work at 7:30\8:00. I am going to sneak out of here around 3:00, and I should be walking to my stand by 4:00. That gives me roughly about 3.5 hours to hunt today. I can deal with that. High today of 62 as well. It shall be good! Good luck everyone. Aim small, miss small!

RE: Official Team Shaft 'Em (25) Thread
Hey guys, just got back from another worthless hunt. No deer, all i saw were turkeys and squirrels (one which was 4 feet away). I had to set up a quick ground blind because i couldnt get permission to hunt the chunk of land i wanted too (hopefully tommorow morning i can). The weather was alot cooler but the deer just didnt show. Im still sitting on 8 deer sightings for 7 hunts ([:@][:'(]).
Im going to post up an ariel photo of the land i hunt here in a few minutes, maybe you guys could give me your 2 cents |

Well, i just called and got the permision for tommorow!
Heres the map of the area i hunt: ![]() The red star is where i hunted on opening morning, and saw 0 deer The green star was the evening stand for that day, and i saw 0 again The dark blue star was the next morning (again, 0 deer) The yellow star was that evening, where i saw 2 does and 2 fawns while in my blind, and then saw a doe and 2 fawns on the way out in the feild to the left of that pond to the left of the yellow star I hunted the green star again yesterday evening andthe only deer i saw was jumped from the north side of the star on the way in And tonight i just got back from hunting a blind set up where the light blue star is (0 deer) Any suggestions where i should hang a stand (FYI, most of these locations produced good deer sightings in the past or a significant amount of deer sign) |

Any oaks? I dont know man, Im stumped.. they llook like great sites. |
RE: Official Team Shaft 'Em (25) Thread
The fields by the green and blue stars are hay, yellow is just overgrown grass and brush and the feild farthest to the upperleft is corn. Not alot of oak trees around my parts.
