Actually, when talking trucks, i am currently having my 79' F-250 4x4 completely rebuilt, all the running gear that is.
I have a shop putting in a fresh 400m big block, new wheel bearing thruout, new brakes, new tie rods, shocks, flo master exhaust, u-joints, and then i plan on giving it a fresh paint job, it is my daily driver for work as well as hunting.

As far as trucks i dont really have a favorite but i did drive the father in laws Nissan Titan a few weeks ago Real Nice! But i guess the perfect truck would be Ford Frame & Body Dodge motor and Chevy or GMC trans. Now that would be a nice truck!

nice hoist z, i need something like that. from the truck talk i guess that leaves my little ole 01 dodge ram 1500with the v6 magnum off everyones list. lol
that's okay though she's clean and gets me where i need to be, when i need to be there.

Ha, mpg, haha, i think it is measured 1/4 mpg, before the last engine went, (rolled a rod bearing) it got about 10mpg.

I seriously looked hard at buying a newer truck, but my tags, taxes, ins, are so cheap with this one, i own it, and when its done, i will know what i have, i wont be buying someone elses problem. sometimes i wish it had a/c, its got a 4 speed tranny with the granny low, this truck, in my eye, was the last true truck made by ford, solid cast iron t-case, solid front axle, etc. its also something i can work on so i dont need a mechanic for lots of the little stuff. i do however agree, fuel injection would be really nice! This beast has got limited slip diff's and goes most anywhere i want, the only time i had it stuck was once when high-centered in a snow drift, i run tall/narrow tires so i can find the bottom and here in kansas, we have some pretty ugly stuff. i work on center pivots quite often and getting thru a field which has just had a 1' rain can be quite fun!

lmao, happens almost every year, i'm in my 79' driving down the highway in the middle of summer and have the wing-window open pushing the air hard into me, about that time, i will feel a big whack in the chest and look down ...............only to see a BUMBLE BEE! on my chest, happened onetime when i wasnt wearing a shirt! dont think that wont make your eyes get big and aboutsoil yourself!

Funny story #102

Back when i was a teenager, crap, 26 years ago! myself and a couple of friends were checking out this old abandoned county school house, we used to have like 50 county school houses from the old days for the country kids. anyway, we were just goofing off and my friend went inside, mind you, this place is a one room building with no window glass or even a door to open, pretty much just a shell of a building.
so me and the other friend were outside listening to our friend on the inside, i'm still not sure what he disturbed but about that time, , let's call him Larry, Larry was about 6'4 "and he could run, he came pouring thru the door running as fast as he could go, me and the other friend were like , whats wrong!, nervously watching for something to be chasing him, within an instant, the loud buzz could be heard as we both took off running, about that time , Larry calls over his shoulder,........BEEEEEES!

we still laugh our butts off about that one.
