I swore off Dove Hunting after it hit 111 degrees opening day a few years back. I do love the tasty dove meat though.

I got a bunch of does and little bucks on mygame camera so far, but tons of tracks along a creekbank I plowed 3 weeks ago. After planting our fields, I should get some better pics......at least some bucks big enough to post on here without gettin laughed at, haha. I cut shootin lanes and fought briars yesterday, we got two more stands looking awesome. Persimmons are getting enormous, muscadines arefilling the vines,and acorns are looking great. Was way too busy this summer to plant dove fields, wish I could've though, our season opens this weekend.

Got me some new arrows today, Ted Nugent Gold Tips. I was shootin the Techno Hunt yesterday at the pro shopwhen they got an arrow delivery in. When Isaw 'em I had to have a few! Now maybe I can capture the spirit of the beast! haha

Hey yall, made it through the hurricane, lotsa damage to my house however no one hurt thank God.
Archery season starts Oct 1, biologists still forecast fair season despite hurricane! Iam so ready to hit the swamp!!!! I just upgraded from a 101 to an 82 Airborne with wich I am well pleased!!!! Ill check back as soon as I can cus I still have no power and internet at home

Lady, here!!!! Tifanny Bottoms is a very large tract of public land, 3Stone. It can get hit pretty hard, tho. I've been told to take a canoe, GPS, and go deep into it!!!! Where no one else wants to go, that's where the big boys will be.

Also, Way to go Team HB getting us on the board. Beautiful buck!!!!
I get to start Mon afternoon. More than ready to get at it!!!! Been target practing on carp all summer!!!! Probably took about 1,000 out. Now only 10 billion to go!!!!!

I was looking through some old cam pics and if this guy is still around (by the grace of god) he should be a giant. He looks like a 2 or 3.5 in this pic so this fall would put him at 4.5 or 5.5. I haven't heard of him being killed but if I see him I'll know who it is.

MY honey hole basically still has standing water. The bugs were horrible from the flooding. Thermacell would probably get carried away right now. I might hunt the ridge top one night, bust a doe and lay off until November. I haveNov. 1 -Nov. 13th with total child care coverage and nothing but hunting to do.

Haven't been on in a while, been studyin like a madman. This semester is rough. Got 16 days until we open up down here, but it opens on a Wednesday so I may not get to go until Friday afternoon. Definitely hunting that whole weekend though at three different tracts back home, so we'll see how it goes. Planted food plots a little over 2 weeks ago and we have gotten very little rain since then. They're coming up in a few places and the deer and turkeys are starting to come into them a little, butthey'renot looking aswell as I had hoped.I'll still have plenty of white oak acorns to hunt over, and a nice bunch of persimmons, so I'll be alright. I didn't get many good pics from my moultrie this year either. Got one messed up rack buck with four on his right side and a tall left main beam that sticks straight up, looks like an older deer so I'm gonna take him first chance I get. Got a couple of spikes and some does as well. I know there's onefairly nice buck out there that got away from me last year, he was a young 6 or 8 basket rack, oughta be a nice one this year. There will definitely be a bruiser walking around somewhere too, there always is, so I'll just have to find him or get lucky like I did last year. Good luck guys!

Mine opens a week from today, but I won't get in the woods until the following Friday afternoon. Got the camera out at a different piece of land over some falling white oak acorns, checkin it this Friday so I'll post that ol bruiser when I get him, haha.

Definitely didnt get big papa on camera, couple of little sixers. I've decided to skip a test review session tomorrow afternoon and hunt the national forest with a couple of buddies. Not shootin anything less than a nice 8. We got a great spot picked out where one of my buddies saw a nice tall 8 point last year......... you never know. How's everybody else comin along?

I don't fly into Wisconsin till the 9th. Still fine tuning my my gear. Found two bad arrows in my bunch. Always good to test them out. I've been concerned about my shooting lately and how inconsistent it has been. I changed out my peep sight and now I am hammering them! Put 6 in the size of a fist at 20 yards. Amazing what a little $15 peep sight will do to your confidence. Switched to Montec Broadheads from Muzzy's. Bot my clothes all secent free and vacum sealed in Charcoal lined bags. Got a new pair of boots that are covered with mud trying to get rid of that "new boot" smell. Just counting the days now.

My house got broken into last Thursday night while I was out, so I didn't go hunting all weekend. Decided to stay here and hunt humans. Luckily they were spooked off before they could get inside and take anything. I've only been able to get in the woods one time so far, just have way too much other crap going on. I'm planning to go Saturday, so hopefully I'll have a little luck. Good luck all!

Well I shot one this morning. 2.5 year old 8 pint but 2 points got broken off so it will probably score as a 6 pt. Not a real high scoring deer probably 75-80 but it's my first buck and I was pretty pumped about it. I'll post pics and story probably tonight or tomorrow.
