tonight was my first night. seen 5 does within range and a nice 9 point a little ways away. nothin in range.

Mine opens a week from today, but I won't get in the woods until the following Friday afternoon. Got the camera out at a different piece of land over some falling white oak acorns, checkin it this Friday so I'll post that ol bruiser when I get him, haha.

Definitely didnt get big papa on camera, couple of little sixers. I've decided to skip a test review session tomorrow afternoon and hunt the national forest with a couple of buddies. Not shootin anything less than a nice 8. We got a great spot picked out where one of my buddies saw a nice tall 8 point last year......... you never know. How's everybody else comin along?

I don't fly into Wisconsin till the 9th. Still fine tuning my my gear. Found two bad arrows in my bunch. Always good to test them out. I've been concerned about my shooting lately and how inconsistent it has been. I changed out my peep sight and now I am hammering them! Put 6 in the size of a fist at 20 yards. Amazing what a little $15 peep sight will do to your confidence. Switched to Montec Broadheads from Muzzy's. Bot my clothes all secent free and vacum sealed in Charcoal lined bags. Got a new pair of boots that are covered with mud trying to get rid of that "new boot" smell. Just counting the days now.

My house got broken into last Thursday night while I was out, so I didn't go hunting all weekend. Decided to stay here and hunt humans. Luckily they were spooked off before they could get inside and take anything. I've only been able to get in the woods one time so far, just have way too much other crap going on. I'm planning to go Saturday, so hopefully I'll have a little luck. Good luck all!

Well I shot one this morning. 2.5 year old 8 pint but 2 points got broken off so it will probably score as a 6 pt. Not a real high scoring deer probably 75-80 but it's my first buck and I was pretty pumped about it. I'll post pics and story probably tonight or tomorrow.

Mo Bow did you actually kill a buck???!?!?! Nice deer! What does he rough score? Looks to be a nice 8 in the upper teens? Congrats man! I was wondering when the next buck would get booked
