I've comeclose to doing just that in one of my spots within walking distance of the house, but I kept talking myself out of it. The last thing I want to do is have a deer bust me on my stand or leaving my stand and know where I am before the season even starts.

This is it, fellas! I've gotta get up at 2:00 am, hit the road by 3:00, drive for about an hour and a half, unload the quad andstrap the bowcase and climber on, ride for a mile, then walk a half a mile and try hard to get to my tree by around 5:00. I'll check in on Sunday afternoon and let you know how it went. I have high hopes, but it's really early in the season yet. Still, I'm going to have trouble going to sleep. Later!

Well, in case you fellasdidn't see my threads, I didn't get a buck for the team the first weekend, but I did end up with a nice young doe in the freezer and came home two dogs heavier to boot. I also passed on one doe thinking I'd take the second, only to have that "second doe" turn out to be a young four point. I was at full draw and ready. I was SURE it would be a doe. Young bucks shouldn't still be traveling with their mommas. That marks the first time I've ever let down after drawing on a deer.

well i'm just gettin in sat. morning was a bit of a rough say kinda rainin n then some thunder so i got down oncei heard that i did see 3 does tho. and sat. evening i seen a nice 10 point he needed to come 30 more yards n he would have steped into my 30 yd shooting lane but oh well i also seen 3 more bucks n 3 does that evning i think i may move that stand cause i found a tree where i can shoot the path the big 10 was on n the path that i was originally set up on so theres always tom. evening RIGHT GOOD LUCK TO ANYONE ELSE HUNTING
