Ok Guys and Gals........ where ya from and what ya got cookin????? I'm from Manitoba Canada. I havew hunted public land for yrs but this yr I have a few spots on private land. I will post pics of my public land bucks as soon as I get them on my PC. My private land is new like I said....... its an archery only zone for bucks and my buddy took a 170" buck about 5 miles south and the same landowners property.

Sorry guys but if I get a shot a 120" buck on public land its down............ it would be a personal goal of mine. Heck a 100" with any weapon would beat any of my public land bucks

RE: Official Team 39 thread

Sandiland-I'll be hunting 2 different tracts of land...for now. One is my 52 acre family farm and the other is a 110+ acre tract I share with 2 others. I agree with you...over 100" with a bow is a trophy in my book! Oh yeah, I'm in South Carolina

Heres a bump to get ya back to the top.

What's up everyone.
I'm in Maryland right now but I'm gonna be doing my hunting all over.
My family owns a 300 acre farm in Pa, so I'll be doing a lot of hunting up there. I've also found some pretty promising public ground down here close to home.
I'm headed back out to Ohio in 2 weeks to do some more scouting on public ground. I'll be making a few trips out that way--they allow Sunday hunting.
Everything looks pretty good here so far. My only concern is that I recently started a new job and don't have much vacation time right now. I guess it'll be a lot of quick hunts after work and weekend trips.

Seems like we have a good team so far. Think we have a shot at taking down the darkhorses?

hey everyone. I will be hunting in PA. I have a few places to hunt that i know can/and have produced nice deer. This is my second year archery hunting in PA so i do not really know what to expect from my area just yet. I might be making a trip back to MO where i am originally from to try and take a shot and one of the bruisers we have on our farm there.

I hope all of us arrows a big one this year!!

What is everyone's real name? I'll add it to the list at the top, that way it will be easier to get to know everyone. I'm Dave

I'm .... wait for it... ....wait for it.......Christine. :D

I'll be hunting in IL. Public land 'cept for a couple days in Brown county. I'm like sandilands, a 100" buck off public ground would be tough to pass. (not to mention a 100" buck is bigger than my previous bucks)

I'll need to take a doe first on the one property before I can attempt to take a buck. I have a feeling that may be a challenge all in itself. I'm fairly optimistic tho'.

Good luck everybody!!

by the way.....i am Steven. I think any buck you guys can get will be good. If we all put inches on the board that would be great.

Morning boys and girls! I'm in central IL, hunting a couple different properties, and working on permission for a third. My real name...Mike. 130" goal for this year, and some does. Hopefully I can make the buck happen!

Mike- Nice to see another long armed Commander shooter on the team!

YooperMike 08-21-2008 09:04 AM

RE: Official Team 39 thread

Oh yeah, love my Commander. Did we talk a while back about you getting one? I can't recall...but I think we did. I just put a Limb Driver on it, from the QAD, and I really like it. I was millimeters away from getting and 101 Airborne, but didn't pull the trigger, like my Commander better...for now anyway!

Brknarrow1970 08-21-2008 09:10 AM

RE: Official Team 39 thread

sorry Dave, seen it was your team and figured was the first good one to light up, good luck maybe SC has bigger bucks - but seriously you will NEED it:D

NCRemington700 08-21-2008 09:18 AM

RE: Official Team 39 thread

Yeah Mike I think we did talk before I got my Commander. Man am I glad I got that bow. With my longer draw I'm shooting 301 fps with 83.91# KE. That should nock a hole or 2 in a deer!

NCRemington700 08-21-2008 09:20 AM

RE: Official Team 39 thread

Yeah, yeah, yeah Frank.

YooperMike 08-21-2008 09:29 AM

RE: Official Team 39 thread

Glad to hear it! I'm shooting only about 268 fps, but with 538 grains of love, I'm getting 81#s of energy, should get the job done!

NCRemington700 08-21-2008 10:53 AM

RE: Official Team 39 thread

My arrow is 417 grains.

Anything even close to 80#s of KE is a serious thumpin!

Dave, you going to be team captain?

AF Hunter 08-21-2008 11:55 AM

RE: Official Team 39 thread

ALRIGHT TEAM 39, NC is out without a leash on again! Yall better put a shock collar on him and keep him home or he'll never get into the woods to hunt.

It doesn't really matter to me. I figured we'd wait till everyone is here.

Anyone got any ideas for names before the good ones get taken?

Whatever the majority decides for captain and name I am fine, i just want to see some bone hit the ground. My team last year put up a goose egg.

NCRemington700 08-21-2008 05:59 PM

RE: Official Team 39 thread

A goose egg is not good! I feel pretty confident about the properties I'll be hunting this year. I've only got 10 more days to wait!

RE: Official Team 39 thread

as far as team captain goes.....whoever you guys decide is fine with me. NC has kinda been running the show, so i guess if you needed my vote it would go to him....

as far as a team name goes.....there are a few..nocked and loaded....straight to the point....not to particular on the name.....just hoping we get some bone on the ground and on the board.
