Nice looking doe Rem, fat old bird. I'm hunting tomorrow morning, looks a little rainy, but I'm certain I won't melt!

Thanks Mike. It sounds like you had a pretty entertaining sit on in the woods too! I'm hearing reports of bucks dropping all over the place around here. I just can't get them to cooperate for me! Patience grasshoper!

Hit the outdoors this morning. First deer a saw was a nice 8. He came right by, 10 yards, just couldn't do it though. Would have been my biggest with the bow, but just not quite what I'm looking for. If I hadn't seen the two others that I saw last week, this deer would have been in serious trouble. Heading back out on Friday-Sun, then stupid gun season comes in. So, this weekend will have to be productive!

Good luck Mike! At least your gun season only lasts a couple of days a few times a year. Some of us deal with it from almost the get-go! Good luck man.

Weather looks real nasty for Saturday...but I'm still going to sit all day if I can make it. Tomorrow looks decent, sunday looks real nice. Hopefully it can come together! Good luck guys!

Weather isn't so great today...guess it's a good thing I'm not hunting! Hopefully this rain will clear up for the morning hunt but then it's supposed to be windy![:@] Sunday looks pretty good with highs in the low-mid 50s. My boss let me have next Friday off so I'll be at it hard again for 3 straight days.

I didn't get in the woods today...20-25 mph winds with 30+ gusts. I'll be back at it tomorrow morning and evening. It's still going to be windy but not quite as bad. The last 2 deer I've killed have been on Sunday morning so here's hoping for something good in the AM!!

Hunted hard all weekend, all day sits on Sat and Sun and 12-dark on Friday. Saw numerous good bucks, had one real nice 11 in range yesterday, but I f-ed that up. So, a real disappointing weekend. Gun season is this coming weekend and i'm not real optimistic for the prospects late-season. The 540 acres that borders my ground has 16 gun hunters this year, and the piece across the road, about 180 acres has 9 guys gun hunting, so let the war begin. With any luck, my ground will be a bit of a sanctuary for the deer during the intense firefight. Next time I'll be bowhunting isn't until that second weekend in Dec. I was ready to do a swan dive out of the tree yesterday when that buck bounded away unharmed. Spotted me adjusting my feet for the shot and got the hell out of dodge. That's hunting, but it still sucks!
