Good luck Mike and Leo. I've got 2 more days to work and I'm off Friday-Monday. The weather isn't going to be what I'd hoped for but we'll see what happens. If I don't get a buck down in those 4 days I'm figure out some more vacation to take in the next couple of weeks.

Looks like I'm going to get a good ride up in the tree this weekend, supposed to be real windy. I'm not sure who I have to either pay or screw to get a wind out of the north! Hey NC, how's the Titan working out for you?

Mike, the Titan has been great. I've got a "system" now for putting in on the tree and getting it off. It's quiet, comfy, and not too heavy! I'm happy.

I'll be spending a lot of time in it the next four days. I've got tomorrow and Monday off from work. Hopefully I'll be able to put some bone down this weekend!

Glad to hear it. I am extremely efficient with mine now, after three years. Every time I go out, it seems like i'mready to climb even faster. I think your days off are coming at a pretty good time, hopefully the weather cooperates. The wind here is howling right now, and doesn't show signs of letting off for a couple days. HAve to take some dramamine before hunting!

Well day 3 of my 4 days of hunting is over. I shot a big nanny this morning. Normally I wouldn't shoot a doe this time of year but it was a chip shot and she had no buck following her. I'll get a pic up tomorrow. About at hour after I shot her, a nice 8 pt walked to within 5 yards of my tree. He was thaaaaaaat close to getting shot. He was probably around 85-90". Just not quite big enough. I'd love to see him next year because he has great potential. It was nice to see a decent racked buck finally! I'll be back at it in the morning. Good luck ya'll!

Has an incredible morning in the woods, even before I left the truck! As I pulled up to the property, there was a solid 180" 13pt standing in the ditch. He is a straight 12 with an 8" drop between the G3 and G4 on the left side. I stared at him from about 10 yards away for about 30 seconds before he sauntered off with the doe he was guarding. Biggest buck I've ever seen in the wild, and on my property to boot! Too bad it was freakin' dark out. I saw 7 bucks while on stand, no shooters, but lots of rut activity. I heard two fights, and three buck growls. Lots of fun, but really really cold and windy. I think I can get out again Weds morning, and then of course this coming weekend, but the weather looks like hell again.

Good work on another doe NC!
