I only deer hunt bow and shotgun. I got my last tree stand up today and also checked my trial camera. I had 25 pictures on there but no bucks. Im going to be hunting an area that I did not have a tree stand in last year but it was torn up by rubs so hopefully I can get lucky.

bigjim12, I was in texas in April, by College station hunting hogs, didnt see a thing, very over hunted property.. Came home and then 2 weeks later bought a truck in San Antonio and flew down to get it and met some guys at the dealership and went back down and hunted hogs with them in Cotulla, seen lots of hogs, coyotes, javelina, bobcats and axis deer, fun time..
Yea, you have to watch some of the outfitters. Some of them run a lot of people through their property. Did you end up taking any hogs or javi's?

We went to the Texas Shootout last year and saw lots of javi's and a few hogs. The T.S. is a big bowhunt every year where about 400 to 500 people show up to hunt. I think the ranch was 80,000 acres. But they won't be doing it anymore. This was going to be the 48th year in a row. I didn't get one but my buddy did

I ended up with 4 hogs and a javelina, that was in cotulla..I first place was a joke, won the hunt at a varmint master competition. If I would have paid for it. I would have been really mad!!!!!!
