I arrowed a decent buck for my neck of the woods. He is a decent 6 point with a good spread for my area. He is the 3rd largest buck I have seen in 4 years. I shot him on when he was fast walking....I doinked the shot and hit him back with little penetration at 25 yards. He spun around and I re-nocked an arrow and sent it into the boiler room, or so I thought...it was a pretty extreme quartering away shot. I saw him bleeding pretty good and then he bedded down 50 yards away. I backed out and will get him tomorrow morning. Not alot of points for our team, but at least some. And oh yeah, it was fun!

well guys thought i would share my wifes kill a 8 point saturday night.It was with a gun were still trying to get her one with a bow.I dropped her off at her stand and didnt even have time to get to my stand before she shot.

Well boys I wish I was posting to say that I have a buck down as well but hasn't happened yet. I passed on my 10th buck tonightyes that is right 10th buck so far this season. Everything has been really small and not the deer I set a goal of shooting this year, Don't get me wrong I am not after a 150" wall hanger but a respectable buck that is bigger than I took last year. I have seen 6 bucks in the last 3 days so activity has been good all in the morning or late evening. Still waiting for the chase phase to pop but hasn't happened yet. Heck I had three bucks come in Saturday morning and they did not even try to square off for a fight, what isup with that? One of the snort wheezed but that was it. Anyway back at it tomorrow with hopefully another story and possibly a buck down.
