I'm not hunting very hard right now, once or twice a week, i work till 4:30... Once the snow comes is when i have the best action, i hunt in a spot where all the deer come and yard up... found 5 different 10 point sheds last year in a 100 yard circle and there all pope and young and bigger! so it'll be a good year...

Virginiashadow-- hopefully i'll get one of them this year, I've been working hard for 4 years looking at this spot never wanted to go in and hang stands if i wasnt in the perfect spot, now i have the perfect spot where they come from very thick cedar swamp out onto a acorn ridge, major runways and im inbetween the two... I dont wanna go in there right now and scare everything out and all that so im just gonna wait it out... SO good luck to you guys... I'll hunt and shoot a couple doe's in another spot

Wis, that is going to be my strategy early as well.
I just planted a winter food plot that should be ready right around the time the rut hits around here.
The lease I am in has 4 different properties so I can leave the plot alone for awhile.
Only problem is I put a camera up at one end of the plot to see if anything hits it early (i did mix oats and winter wheat in the seed mix)
Good Luck to everyone and stay safe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Two weeks from right now and I'll be driving down to our hunting grounds. Man I really gotta finish my basement before hunting season gets here or my wife will nail my feet to the basement floor.
