It poured as expected on Saturday so I didn't get out of bed. What a mistake. My original plan was to go out the back and sit in one of the stands behind the house. About 11 am things started to clear up and I could actually see out the windows and notice the tips of antlers sticking up. Turned out to be that wide 7 point. I watched him off and on and then the rain would come back. My son had his last soccer game (I'm a coach) and the team was having a party after the game. So I ran out to see get a few last minutes things and came back and checked on the buck and he was gone. I thought, great, I don't feel bad any more.
About 12:30 (game is in an hour) I look out and the 7 is back and now he has friends. Ribcage is there (the big 10 point) and the have a new friend as well. Here are a few pictures.     |

I have a feeling we're going to get atleast another kill by sunday for our team. Between you, me, solo, and wake... one of us has to score! I'll be in the woods from Friday - Sunday. I HAVE to connect! I'm toying w/ doing an all day sit on friday... |
