So my bucks have all but disappeared on me from the back. I haven't seen them in weeks. The camera is only catching a few pictures here and there and the pile of corn is still sitting there. I've got to get that out of there because the season starts in about a month and we are not allowed to bait.

I'm hoping it's all just part of the fall ritual and summer bachelor groups breaking up.
My only thought is that the acorns have started to fall, those bucks might be changing food sources. Also, Ive noticed when they shed the velvet they dont move much. So find their home or the nuts and hunt that...

Thats my plan, I'll be hunting white oaks on my first hunt.

Same here in IL...not seeing the bucks like I as, I've seen a few out of velvet and a few still in velvet, but not in groups anymore, they are dis-banding from there summer groups....which is a good thing, it means hunting season is ALMOST here

Here he is, I'm thinking hes a low to mid 140's gross. I'm sorta confused though, he is the only decent buck I have pics of, but I know I've got more out there, I think my problem is the does have completely dominated the bait pile... I dont hunt over this anyway, so I could be in for a surprise when i hunt the oak patch:D

Upgraded my ride Sat. I bought a 2006 Dodge Dakota Ext. Cab with topper and brush guard on it, I will put up pics Mon. or Tues. when I get it. I pick it up tomorrow, then straight to work[:'(], but def. by Tues. I will have a pic. You guy will laugh your ass off when you know what my "old" car was...first I drive 70 miles one way to work, so I needed something gas friendly, so I had a 1991 Toyota Celica, and if I went hunting by myself and got a deer...YES I did throw that sucker in the hatchback:DNow I'll actually feel like I belong in the woods....lol.
