well, that may have been one of the most boring coon hunts ive been on....3 dogs in the cast we were out with...2hr hunt and we only cut loose twice...all i got to hear was boohooohooooo only 1 coon scored...we need some rain...hopefully before bowseason starts...if we dont get it before bow season starts, my buddy might get a crack at the biggun living on my hill if he hunts his stand down in the creek bottom...but, first morning chances are probably better that hes already on my hill and not going to cross fields to get to water in the daylight...it is DRY out there....

toe held up real well...actually looks better now than it did before i left....maybe the tape healed it? lol

time for bed....maybe work on my 2nd pin tomorrow...think theres a nice 3d shoot next weekend id like to goto...dont know if i can hold up for 30 shots and then shoot the fun shoots after the 3d...last year they had some 60yd tickets...pay to shoot and win whatever the ticket # goes to...a 60yd 3" bull that sets off a cannon and if you set it off you get put in a drawing for a nice prize, and a 67yd 3" bull that puts you in another raffle and 20yd floating pong balls

I did some googling. I think you guys misspelled the word. Mighty hunters are Ewoks, see below. Bitchin' camo, they look like Teddy Ruxpin with an attitude.

Mighty ewoks, we salute you![8D]

Bluetickhunter, do you also archery hunt where you coon hunt? If so, do you think that has an impact on your herd?

rob, we coonhunt where we deer hunt...not so much in my "honey hole" but occassionally...

i can say we do alot of disturbing...dogs, couple guys, lights, talking, trucks, etc....our dogs better not chase a deer...

i dont think we disturb them much at all...one night me and my buddy walked by a couple does bedded on the edge of a powerline in some grapevines...dog ran past them tracking and was treed on the other hillside screamin his head off...we went down..shot the coon out...came back, does STILL bedded there...we shined them on the way down and were less than 20yds away talking when we spotted them...they never moved....

walked by many bucks in cornfields and such that never cared....

yes, we add scent and im sure we do SOME disturbing....but, i dont think it has a huge impact...were not chasing or harassing the deer in any way really...they see us, hear us, smell us etc...but were not a "bother" or worry to them really is my guess....
