are any of you doing the Spring Turkey Contest? The sign up is open. That is fun too.
helped my brother in law mount my '08 buck earlier this week. It is drying now... looks great... Once dry, next week, we just need to touch up the nose & eyes, etc.. I will get a pic on as soon as I get him home.

I would rather deer hunt, but there is nothing like having a nice big tom spitting & drumming and lighting the woods up at point blank during spring turkey season. I urge all of you to take it up... another addiction!
We are having a special first time youth season here in MA this year... my brother in law are taking a couple of kids for their first time... I hope they score!

Haven 't been on for a while due my busy season (spring Drama production that I write, direct and produce. Hope you all had a safe and wonderful season. though I was only able to arrow a buck this year it was sure just nice getting out there. It's been ridiculously cold here since just before Christmas. My family wasdown south for 10 days (including a 7 day cruise in the Caribbean)just after Christmas and when we left Miami it was 84 and when we arrived in Winnipeg a dozen or so hours later it was -42. Talk about theballscontracting to the belly. Hope you guys in the central states made itsafely through the snow and the ice storms. I hearthe eastern states had some bad weather also. I'm already starting to organize for next season. Hopefully the weather will break and I will see how the deer wintered the verycold winter we have had. This past season the deer went totallynaucternialduring mid ML and totally during our rifle season. I've talked to many hunters that hunted in both Southern and Central Manitoba and every one that I talked to had the same difficulties. Any of you guys south of the boarder have the same problems? Manybe some changes for next season like getting farther into the bush on their travel routes. Any ideas?

This has been a terrible winter here in MA... ice, cold weather, lots of snow... gun season sucked... deer are yarded up behind my father's house now... been seeing 8 or 9 a night in his yard. One small buck still had half a rack 2 weeks ago.
I'm sick of this weather...
I did get my 08 team buck mount back... i posted a thread on it, but figure I'd put it here as well....
This is the '08 New York Muzzleloader buck that I rough scored at 139" shot 11/21/08.
