Been spending a lot of time shooting my new bow. Will be out scouting very soon. Doe bow opens Sept 15th here in 2B in PA, and buck starts Sept 29th. Still plenty of time for me. Then buck is in for 6 weeks. Then a few more right after christmas. I know a lot of big bucks made it through gun seaon last year because I saw them in the late archery season. I know they are out there...... Don

I'm headed out this afternoon after work to hang my stand... i.e. sweat my everlovin' a$$ off!! It's 95ish freakin degrees today. Ahhh the things we do for some bambi meat!

Hi everyone! I've been having some trouble with my bow. The release-aid wasfiring my arrows 2 sec. afterI pulled the trigger. [8D] I finally got it fixed, and shooting good out to 40 yards!:D

ORIGINAL: gplant Whats up? Thanks for the votes but with the home computer down and 14 hour work days it will be ruff. I too have never been in a online contest. When it comes to computers Im a dumb a$$ but I'll help out if I can.So who ever has the time would be best for this.As far as scoring goes just go to the P&Y site and it should be on there.You should learn it as it will help you to score a buck on the hoof. Score a couple racks you allready have and you will have a good idea at a glance if that is the buck you want. |

How about 1970.....if no one steps up soon I'm gonna volunteer just so we have one. Been a die-hard bowhunter for 16 years now. I'm new to this site, but not to the passion. We need to settle this. What do you guys want to do?

Ok,either capt nominee is fine by me. Sorry i haven't been on lately...securing some more property to hunt. Just got 365 more acres of bottomland and farms. Season starts Sat. but gotta put a doe down first..after that let the horns fall!!!!!

I'll go with 8pt...we need to settle this.
On the other hand, I went and hung one of my stands yesterday afternoon. It took a while to get that new stand up there...the daggone thing weighs 27 pounds, and it's a hang on!! Sheesh that was tough. On a good note, the deer are using the area heavily so this Saturday...ITS ON!! |

8pt has my vote as well, sept-nov is our busiest time at work so don't think I can committ the time ,
I will heading out Saturday, so hopefully will see some good bucks moving I haven't purchased a game cam yet and do not know if I will but good luck to those going Saturday and let's put them down |

Mine used to not open until around the 3rd week in Sept but they've moved it back the last few years. That's fine with me, our herd needs some trimming here in NC.

Good luck to you guys but as a side note that is NOTa good 50 yard group! In fact is it a group? Not that I can do any better but I hope you don't consider that accurate enough for hunting at those ranges. Maybe for shooting the block but not at fur.
Lets see a 30 yard group. Those are alwaysmore impressive. Don't get me wrong as I am sure just an arrow slinger past 30. Again good luck to you guys  |
