WHats happening Mike, tied down at work but mnaged to make it out this afternoon- seen the target a, tall really tall big bodied buck, slipped behind me and crossed the road about 65yard away- then proceeded to dog does in the woodlot across from me for 15 mins - not shots but sure was exciting - I know where I will be hunting next time - biggest buck I seen all year - he is a keeper couldn't count points but sure he is an 8 or bigger possible P/Y

Frank finally saw some horns! Whoo hoo!! I didn't see jack squat yesterday. I hunted one of my normal spots yesterday morning and I had one deer in the corn well before daylight. Not sure what it was but it was a large deer. Yesterday afternoon I hunted my girlfriends parents land in Asheboro. I saw lots of really good buck sign. One rub I saw was on a cedar tree as big as a telephone pole!! I got in the stand around 4 pm and saw nothing all afternoon. Oh well. I'll be back at it all week since I can't hunt on Sunday.

WellI finally sawa deer, four does.[8D]They were to far away to get a clean shot. Maybe I'll get a shot atthem tomorrow.;)

Well men..hunted Sat. aft/eve and had 2 button bucks (looked like brothers) come in and bed down at the base of my tree not 5 yds away. Got some cool pics...Later in the eve had 4 does go about 60yds out through some briars out to the soybean field. Shortly after a monster snuck through the thicket about 100yds out and joined the does in the beans. As i was climbing down in thetwilight, another buck, looked to be the 10 I saw last week ran out to the same bean field with the other buck. Unfortunately it was so dark that I couldn't even think about getting a shot off. Gonna connect on one of these boys soon!!! I could hear one of the bucks crashing through the beans and grunting away after the does. The rut is coming into swing here in NJ!!!!!

I wish I could see some rutting activity. All I've seen are rubs. They don't seem to be following the does yet. Too warm. It's gonna be warm this week too. GRRRR

It's funny how they change the forecast. On Friday they said it was gonna be upper 80s on Monday and Tuesday. Now this is what they are calling for...



Better than I thought it would be. Looks much better towards the end of the week.

I'm sure I'll still go every day unless a storm chases me out. Until the time changes later in the year I plan on hunting every day. The only morning I can hunt is Saturday's. I've been seeing more deer in the evenings sits anyways.

well boys i hunted yesterday night and at almost 6 30 a beautiful 10 point with alot of mass, tine length, and a decent spread. He came in at 20 yards exactly and i drew back and thwack.....i let him sit overnight and will be going to look for him in about 10 mins...i hope i can find this dandy...wish me luck

Pretty good.Just alot of scrub bucks and does.Im off next week and Im hunting my rut area and things look real good.I sat on the ground in a old area I use to hunt and saw a nice buck and cound not get a shot.Im going to hunt that every afternoon this week.He's not real wide but very tall. Im pretty sure he's a ten or better 3 1/2 year old.In this area that is a good buck but I know that there is better but I will take this one if he lets me.How about you guys????We are over 200 pts behind inthis contest I hope less with Aarons kill. Has anyone got ahold of our no shows to see how they are doing?

Things are a little slow around here. I'm gonna go to my 2nd spot this evening I think. We've seen 4 different 8 pts in there this year. Starting tomorrow it is supposed to start cooling off. Today they are calling for 84 degrees plus the moon is almost wide open. Hopefully something will walk...smoke em by moon light!! :D

I haven't heard squat from Dan, Don, Pike, or Shane. Hopefully they're hitting it hard!

Aaron is killing me. I would think if he found that buck he would have said something by now. Of course he could just be really busy with work. Shane, Pike, Dan, and Don have all just gone *poof*. :eek:

I dont know who Millertyme is but everyone is still on this team. I do wish they would check in once a week or so. I got a funny feeling that Aarron has got bad news. I HOPE NOT!!!!! Hey Captain maybe you should send the others a e-mail and ask how things are going and if they could check in every now and then.
