Howler- Since you are from CO. dude you gotta score on one of those gigantic muleys. Even though the score is reduced somewhat from a whitetail still a 200" muley would score pretty good in the contest. My girlfriends aunt has a house out there but the only time I would get to visit would be in the summer or spring. I really really want to hunt black bear there. That is my dream hunt... to harvest a black bear with my bow. I am looking at booking a hunt before too long if all my called in favors fail.

Sure would, a 200" Mule would score 172" after multiplier.

Yeah Steve, that would be awesome, BUT I admitted a few months ago on the "this years goal" thread that I was looking for a 180" mule deer out here or a 140" whitetail on the farm in KS. I'd be happy with either or both![8D]
Let's see, even a 180" would score 154.8 for us. I gotta keep my goals at the realistic levels though, ya know!

The black bears are invading Boulder, CO. here lately. The DOW had to put one down two days ago, and then last night a sow and her two cubs were spotted in town, but the DOW was hoping that they'd find thier way back to open space over night. CO. has a 3 strike rule for the bears. Once they have to be relocated twice, the third time they get relocated to the big bear heavens in the sky. I'd think there would be places with higher bear numbers to hunt, for sure. CO. doesn't allow baiting, so it's all spot and stalk and with the so so bear numbers, just not a great state to hunt.

Well, no luck this morning. Or I should say I didn't take a shot. Plenty of babies running around but I am holding out for a more mature doe. Just felt good to be back on stand. Nice cool morning with temperatures in the low 50's. It was great!

I wish I lived in a state that permitted Sunday hunting. Another nice day outside and I want to be in my stand this afternoon! Oh well, I guess I'll have to settle for a few rounds of practice and then some football.

Hey guys, looks like I have to do my part on keeping us on the first page.Havent been around in a while.[]
I have tried logging on a few days ago and it wouldent allow me.Looks like huntingnet has to do some prunning and free up some space on the server
I have received my String Dampner(STS) from APA archery and I am real impressed with it.I just picked up my new boots at BP Shop on Saturday and I think I am good to go-well,maybe another pack of broadheads.
Just finished hanging my last stand yesterday evening.I really have a good feeling about this spot.
I may hang another stand on another property this Wed or Thurs.
Good luck Jeramy, you lucky dog--soon I will be joining you
Season is almost here guys--yeeehaaaa

Last week man. Im stoked. I moved the camera to one of my food plots and got a couple pictures of some small bucks feeding out of my salt lick but thats it. I did a little more scouting yesterday in a new area around a slough and found another dead deer. This was a young doe out of spots its been dead for probably about a week. Im guessing the blue tongue but I couldnt really tell except the fact that all the bones where together with the torso meaning the coyotes didnt kill it and that they havent found it yet. Ive got a couple places working as far as stand sites. Im going to be moving my climber to a food plot for the afternoon and in the morning Im going to be hunting the old road bed and try for that doe.

-Jeramy - You need to move to TN man....Sunday hunting is legal here dude. Im at the point right now that I just want to go hunting...I dont really care if I see anything. I just want to go to get away from everything. Ya know what I mean.

Yeah man, Im really excited the food plots are starting to see some action judging by the number of tracks and Im going to keep the cameras rolling on areas that Im not hunting to see if they are showing any activity. Lots of smaller bucks. Yesterday I found what I thought to be an awesome deer trail. So I followed it......straight to a beaver dam. That stinkin beaver walked up a hill into a thicket as was chompin down on some trees man. It was actually more like a dirt road it was traveled so much....stupid beaver.

-Has anyone used Rock Salt in their salt licks? I put some of this out, instead of grain salt.
