Well, Ive got several places to hunt my favortie is a large "well large for ohio" about 1,000 acres or so of private land most of it our property, in south eastern ohio. The land is all wooded with some small foodplots. The timber varies with the newest clearcut about 4 yrs. ago. I love hunting on the edges of clear cuts. I have a clear cut that was cut 2 yrs ago that is next to our property that i plan on hunting hard. I love this area due to my dad and i and a friend here and there are the only ones who hunt this property.

Well guy's ! Where is everyone ,it's almost 24hr's and not 1 reply . HMMMMM.
I went and put out a ladder stand out yesterday to scout some property that I'm hunting on a soya bean field . As we walked in there was a young fawn with it's spot's fading standing not 30yrds from us in the bean's , I almost never seen it because the bean's were taller than the deer . I'm sure this property is going to be a honey hole with the cedar swamp on the bottom end leading to a ravine that run's right along the middle of 2 bean field's .
This stand will act asa survey stand ,since this field is all new to me ,it's on a high point along a fence row between a corn field and bean's on the other ,it'll give me good view of the 2 field's and I'll get to know when and where the deer are moving . I'll take note's on every visit and as the season close's in I'll decide the best point's to put my stand's .
I see a couple team's have already scored on here ,but unfortunately ,I still have a month to go before our season open's here in my end of Ont [Oct15th]. When I go moose hunting the season open's on Sept 15th ,so if a decent buck show's ,he's as good as a moose to me .

Well fellas I saw him the day be4 yesterday. He is a tall 10 point not real wide but VERY TALL. I am guessing he is around 150. He is still in velvet right now so just wondering what he will look like once that is gone. I just wish I could take him in velvet. What a monster. I saw him about a mile away from my house. Now I am getting a little more pumped up about this season.

I haven't seen any buck's yet on the farm's I'm hunting ,but I really haven't had a lot of time to get out since I'm getting thing's ready for the moose hunt .It's alway's nice to see buck's early because it get the blood boiling .
Sure has been quiet in here the last 36 hr's ,if you's are here to visit ,I'd like you's to at least stop in and say hi to your team mate's ,we need to keep thing's going ,even if it's off topic .

Looks good Iowa.
Last week end we drove to our hunting property and put out some trail cams. No picts were taken so we'll do it again in a few weeks.
I did shoot some mighty fine bull frogs and the legssure tasted good.
