MY name is Tim

44 years old and lived in ND all my life. Bowhunted on and off since I was 16. Workkind of got in the way for a lot of years but Ireally got back into it when my son was big enough to tag alone. He loved to shed hunt at a fairly early age and that got the huntingbug going again.While I regret losing so many years, we really have made up for it the last6 years with serious shedhunting, scouting and bowhunting.

Shedhunting 07 ( my pile is on the left, Tyler's on the right ) 245 sheds total...



I work on a 6000 acre farm and have access to some 25,000 acres for hunting , trapping and shedhunting. We have decent bucks but 160 gross is about as big as they get here. I am rather picky and bowhunt the top end bucks here. I rifle hunt alsoand not quite so picky. Just don't get all thatfired up for rifle huntinglike bowhunting. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy rifle hunting but nothing compares to bowhunting.

We got some good bucks scouted out and I amreally looking forward to hunting this fall and the contest.

Oh and that is Britney in the middle of the shed piles. Don't tell Tyler ( dagger buck 2 )but she will be the best hunting partner a dad could ask for. ;) :D

Here is my hunting partner now. He has been beating dad at finding sheds for a couple years nowbut got his work cut outfor topping me in the big buck department. I better not slip up thoughcause he knows no mercy!! [:o]

Good luck Team 5, you have a really great member on your team (TJF). He is the real deal and if anybody came put a slammer on the ground he can. I must admit though his son Tyler is due, so we all better keep an eye of for him.

Just call me Ash. I am 31 years old. I have been bowhunting for about 11 or 12 years. I live and hunt in WV. I hope to add some points to the team total. West Virginia isn't known for producing big bucks but I am going to give it my best effort. Tim those are some amazing piles of sheds. That is something I have neveer had any luck in finding.

Pretty open here so finding sheds isn't to hard. Finding a lot mean miles and milesof walking though!! :D

I pm-ed the remaining people to let them know teams have been picked. It should be a pretty interesting team with all the differentstates we hunt in. I am looking forward to getting to know you guys better and see how your hunting season go.

I would like to seeeveryone check in before a captain and the team name is picked. It wouldn't hurt to throw out some team names to choose from to get the ball rolling though.

sssshhhhhhh... that was suspose to be our little secret when we get on the same team someday!!!! The trick is to make sure you don't glue them on backwards and try passing it off as a nontypical. You will get caught every time. [:o] ;) :D

When does everyones season start? WV starts on Oct.14. I will be hunting a new area this year. I hunted the same area for about 10 years. This year 90% of the property was sold. On a high note my new area has not been hunted in about 7 or 8 years. I have seen a few bucks not really big though but you never really know what is out there.

Better late than never but... TexasOaks checkingin. My name is Eric and I am 23and this is my first year bowhunting. I have hunted since I was about 8 so I am not new to hunting just new to bowhunting. I have been practicing all summer out back with the bow. Our season here starts September 31. This guy was takenby my dad last year off our property. I am actually going out tomorrow to the property tocheck somethings and work on some things.Glad to be on the team!

Welcome to the team Eric. Rut hounds does have a nice ring to it. I think we need to pick a name rather quickly. I remember last year when a team mentioned a name and another team took it.So if we figure out a good team name we may want to go with it.

Sorry I didn't get to formally introduce myself before...

My name's Rob, I'm 18 and from New York. This will be my 5th season bowhunting, and after eating some tag soup last year waiting for a certain buck, I'm looking forward to coming out of the slump and tagginga nice one.

You right the namecould get gobbled up pretty fast. We could run with it and change it later if need be, but it's a pretty good one. I stick it in.

As far as Captain, I would rather someone else do it. Once harvest hits, I won't be on enough to be a good captain. Was hoping the other would check in before throwing names around for captain.

Hey guys looks like we got ourselves a pretty good team. I'm Landon from central Illinois. I'm 18. I shot a Instinct by fred bear and hunt 1,700 of amazing land by the makinaw. The bummer part is that anyone with a Illinois tag can so the same yes it's public but it's better than the 35 acres of 4wheel trail timber by my house. good luck to every one.

I found only one shed this spring unlike your PILE of sheds Tim, but our property is all hard woods and there really isn't any fields per se. I felt like I walkmiles and miles to find my one shed. Congrats on finding that many,really is amazing (how many acres do you think that covered?).

Hey guys, sorry about checkin in so late. I thought teams werent official til late august early september. Maybe I read wrong. Anyway, My name is Nate, I am 21 and have been bowhunting for what will be my 7th year. Last Year I was in the contest and ended up shooting a piebald buck, not alot of points for the contest, but a good decision in my book :D. I hunt SW PA. Havent scouted out the area yet, since now i live in NJ. Will be goin up tomorrow to check it out though.

One of my newest properties that I hunt has a large non typical and a big 14 running around on it.
