Fran and Troy
Thanks for the well wishes. Can't seem to find my lucky jeans. Troy, I am thinking the 4x5 is pretty safe from us the way it is going. Tyler hasn't seen him while hunting that area.Looking forward to our hunt in Dec.

Oh man... That totally sucks.TellTyto look at the bright side - he'll get a good laugh out of that one for 10, 20 years. Well, he might not think it's funny, but everyone else will... LMAO Chit happens, you know. Hey, I "know a guy" who forgot his bow on opening day in 05. Talk about feeling stupid...
Tim - Your old lady probably had to throw out those lucky blue jeans b/c you looked so damngood in 'em that she just couldn't keep her paws off of you. My wife keeps throwing out all my good tightie whities, and I'm pretty sure that's why she does it too.

He is a good buck and did some growing after we filmed him this summer. Anyways... I told Tyler and since the wind was right he was to hunt in that area tonight. He didn't see the 5x6 but darn near got a crack at the big 5 !!30 yards but no shot. The buckthen turn back and picked a fight with a decent 4 pt and beat him up. Tyler said it got a little serious.I've seen him twice in this same spot but never have the right wind to hunt right there. Actually found one of his sheds right there last spring. If we are going to kill him it will probably be in this spot.
It is suppose to rain tonight or tomorrow.Iwill get the day off if it does. I get to hunt before work even if it doesn't but will be in a different area with the wind. If the wind stays the same and I get off from work, I think Tyler and I will gang up on him tomorrow evening. Since he seems to be letting the other bucks in the area know he is topdog... I will try a little rattling and grunting to get him worked up. Hopefully get him to go by Tyler if I setup30yardsor so away. Maybeeven get the 5x6 togo by also as he has really been edgy the last two times we have seen him this past week.
We are running out of time as the waterfoul season will start this weekend for resident hunters. The following weekend the non-residents season starts. Once the duck huntersstart running all over, it will be tough to see an older buck during daylight hours. Our area really gets hammered hard but waterfoul hunters. [:'(] We are goingget very aggressiveand push ithard on account of it.
I will bedoing some light rattling and grunting in the morning in this other area.
Tim
