Wow, that didn't go as planned....

Glad I could help ya rich. Looks like things are kinda messed up in MN this year..so I don't know if i will just take a doe and hunt North Dakota....I guess I will just wait a while and see what comes past the stand.

Well then....... Waiting to welcome Phil Pick......

I am headed out tomorrow morning to get my daughter set up for the youth hunt. Shes 13 and has a choice of bow or gun. She is good with the ole' Mossberg 535 but is totally commited to taking her first deer with a bow!!!!!! I am buying us a new Ameristep Penthouse this week. We were a little cramped in the Doghouse last season and think (know) the extra 18" of floor space will be just what the Dr. ordered. Hopefully it is not to big and spooks the deer the other direction.

I have promised to mount her first deer, doe, buck or yearling. Your first deer is always the hardest to get IMO and it will give her and I a constant reminder of our hunts together......

That's really cool BullR, I still remember my first deer with a bow to this day. I can still see her coming through the woods, her stopping, me drawing and shooting her. A memory I hope I always have. If I try hard enough, I'm betting I can remember them all.

That is going to be a very special mount and memory.

Hey guys. Hows it going? I guess I am your new teammate. Kinda sucks how it went down but I'm just glad to be on a team. I'll read up on the posts and I'll try and tell ya more about me and where I'm hunting alittle later on but I gota get packed and head out for my brothers tonight. I'm in WI and my season opens TOMORROW. Anyways, here's a pic of the buck I'm after. He was on film four times in two weeks so it's somewhat promicing. Take it easy and thanks for letting me join.

Now that BH Jim is gone, I will be back around in the evenings, not sure what all wen t down but........whatever, lifes short, hunt hard
